Tsou Ma Lai Farm — Attraction in Tainan

I spent five hours here with a group. I would not visit again. I know paint fades quickly in Taiwan, but it really made this place look very old and not well-cared for. If you have kids, they will probably enjoy some of the activities like the bumper boats and playground. However, there is very little seating around the park for adults. The restaurant is ok; food and flavors tasted alright. I

My main problem with this place though is their treatment of their animals. I came across some horses tethered near the horse arena. Their heads were just hanging there as the chain/rope was too short for them to graze, and no water was provided. The little pony was in direct sunlight without the ability to move into shade. They seemed listless. Later, I watched the horse show. The tricks were performed well. But, the horses all seemed unhappy and stressed. Some appeared ungroomed, one of their coats was uneven. One appeared a bit too thin. I didn’t see the other animals at this farm, but I hope that they are faring better. I hope the farm improves their treatment of the horses.

The other show I saw was the acrobatics show in the amphitheater; they did a good job! And they’re the only reason I’m giving this place two stars...

I visited here for a workshop.. unfortunately it was in the middle of a typhoon and the weather was not pleasant for any outdoors activity. Despite that, we were able to walk around a little and admire the landscape. If not for the storm clouds, we would've been able to see the stars shine through. The path around the farm was quaint, intimate, and peaceful especially when there was finally a gap in the storm. At night, the frogs chirped almost too loudly, like a personal chorus for our walk. It was late August when we arrived so imagine our surprise when we saw a single pair of fireflies in the distance. The roads were littered with debris from the storm and we had to be careful to watch our steps. The puddles reflected the street lights and when we crossed over them, the insects buzzed around our heads incessantly. The rain started again after we wandered back through the empty roads, and twisting paths. It was a little hard to see since the lights turned off around 11. If only the wind blew a little stronger and swept the dark clouds away. The bittersweetness of the experience lingers and I hope to return one day when the stormy atmosphere...

一句話評價：「佔地遼闊玩整天，用餐方便無煩惱」👍👍👍 1、位置：位於84快速道路玉井出口，約37.7公里處(就是把84跑完)，下交流道右手邊就可以看到大大的告示牌，右轉過橋，就是園區了，因為出口離園區太近了，高度懷疑這個出口根本就是為了園區而增設啊😂😂😂。 2、門票：全票250、優待票(65歲以上及3～6歲)120，7歲以上兒童學生則是200元，另外尚有其他活動需付費，例如射箭等。 3、停車：遊園區有停車場，大型車100元，小型車50元。 4、遊樂設施： (1)大草原：最經典的大草原，很多人在此舖野餐墊休憩，放小孩奔跑、玩大球(以前草地上有準備一些大球供遊客玩，現在要自己帶囉😎)。 (2)木馬：大草原上的木馬是整個園區最主要的識別，以前還只是木頭原色，這次來(2019.11.24)已變成馬賽克拼貼，看起來頗為繽紛😆，木馬就像特洛伊木馬一樣，可供遊客爬上去，居高觀賞整個草原，別有一番景緻👍，不過要小心拍照太專心，手機掉下去喔⚠️⚠️⚠️。 (3)草原馬車：草原四周還有一些小馬車可以合影留念，稍事休息。 (4)情人湖：嗯，已經荒煙漫草了😂，不過風景還是很不錯。 (5)林間步道：樹木很高、林蔭很夠、道路很平，走起來真的非常涼爽舒適😊。 (6)體能區：有許多攀爬設施給小孩玩，也有翹翹板、盪鞦韆、溜滑梯等，不過溜滑梯多為二階段下來的，太小的小朋友可能會撞到頭，另外攀岩型溜滑梯的樓梯很陡，小孩自己爬很危險⚠️。 5、動物生態： (1)養馬區：有幾匹馬，以及鴕鳥，小心路上偶有馬大便😂。 (2)可愛動物區：有各種鳥類、豪豬、水牛、乳牛、黃牛，這部分不得不說，牛隻生活的空間很大很大很大😲，甚至還有水池可以泡水，真的比起其他動物農場幸福很多啊😊，這次來也幸運看到一群牛隻在草原排隊漫步的畫面😍。 6、其他設施： (1)遊園車：定時發車，以順時針方向巡迴園區7個點，園區走起來其實挺大的，若怕走的人可以多加運用😆，聽說搭乘一次是30元，但我記得之前都免費啊🤔🤔🤔。 (2)腳踏車：可租賃，不過感覺不便宜😐。 (3)泳池：冬季不開放，較偏向戲水池，但深度大人也ok...
