“Yangmingshan Guomeng Park” is located in the Dagengguang District in the north of Hennong: in Di Neng Di The pungent smell seems to tell a story that spans hundreds of thousands of years.
In order to meet the tourism needs of the Hebei area, Guomingyi National Elephant Park has carefully planned several tourism bases, world pools, separate lanes for pedestrians and vehicles, etc., and opened the Damin Tourist Area as a private holiday break. A place to start a journey. However, many people only regard Yangmingshan National Park as the back garden of Taipei City. During the flower season, they go to the mountain to buy flowers, and during holidays they go to the hot springs and eat wild vegetables. As a result, the crowds attracted a large number of vehicles, and the exhaust gas from the vehicles polluted the natural environment; the large number of diners made the young shoots of the bamboo shoots (the former bamboo shoots) a delicacy on the plate. In addition, when people inadvertently play or deviate from the trail, they often scare the animals in the environment, causing them to put poison to eat or abandon their original homes and migrate. This is another kind of interference to nature.
In fact, as a national park, Yangmingshan still upholds the mission of ecological conservation and environmental education. The animals and plants in the entire environment must be protected to preserve the original appearance of nature.
This mountain forest is expecting everyone to change their past gardening habits, such as viewing flowers, bathing in hot springs and eating wild vegetables, to actually walking on the trails and appreciating every scenery. When you walk on the Yulu Ancient Trail, dragonflies and butterflies will fly by you; the water leeks in Dream Lake and the ferns on Dingshan Shitiling Trail are also waiting for you to explore their wonders. If you go to the large oil pits and small oil pits that are close to the volcanic terrain, they will show you proud geological landscapes with hot springs, sulfur fumaroles and andesite.
In short, as long as we respect the flora and fauna in nature and truly experience the rich connotations of national parks, Yangmingshan can show a more...
Read moreThe park itself is beautiful but the transport system is just terrible, which forces me to give only 1 star. If you go there by car, the parking spaces are very limited. If you go there by public transport, the situation gets worse: bus 108 does a loop inside the park stopping in the main areas to see, but this is a micro bus (maybe 7-10 seats) and on a weekday it passes every 30-45 minutes. This means the bus is always CRAMPED, with a lot of (mostly elderly) people standing. Either you get in but travel in a very uncomfortable and unsafe way (roads are windy), or you cannot even get in and you are forced to wait for the next bus. Unless you walk (the walking distances between points can sometimes be up to 2h), you end up spending more time waiting for these buses than enjoying the park itself. After taking it once we decided to give up and were lucky enough to get an Uber/Taxi for the next routes. We could see that everyone queuing was as frustrated as we were. Please note that this was on a weekday, it probably gets worse on weekends and also as the number of international tourists goes back to normal after COVID. Other than that, the park is beautiful and the people working at the visitor center are...
Read moreThis place is for hiking nut like me. Haha.
Take the R5 bus from Jiantan MRT. About 1 hour to reach the Yangmingshan bus station. A lot of teenager take this bus not for hiking but to go to their university. Be prepared to stand. From the bus station you need to walk 15 mins to the Yangmingshan Visitor Centre.
Hike the Qixing mountain trail. Go and back about 4 hours. Be warned that 90% is 45 degree climb up the stone pathway. Hike middle of October in rainy condition. Strong wind. You can buy raincoat at the Yangmingshan Visitor Centre for NTD 35. There is light food sold there. You should buy food at 7-11 nearest to your hotel since at Jiantan MRT the nereast 7-11 is maybe 5-10 mins away. Maybe 2 triangular rice wrap and 1 big water will do. There is a signboard warning of poisonous snake and wasp - didn't meet any since heavy rain. Saw a big frog and 4 small 'landed' bird. Wear shoe not sandal for hiking. Moderate level of fitness. There is no water fountain along the way. No rubbish bin too.
Coming back you can take the 260 bus from Yangmingshan bus station to Jiantan MRT. Nearby here is the Shilin Night Market if you like to...
