Shuiyuan Suspension Bridge — Attraction in Xinyi Township

Absolutely worth the steep hike! The views are amazing, and the suspension bridge is a unique experience to cross, to the waterfalls! The drive from Taichung is about 2 hours through scenic mountain towns. There is a large parking spot where you have to leave your car. A small shuttle bus takes you up further the hill, which is about a 10 minute ride. From where the minibus drops you, there is a hike you need to take for about 1 km. It's steep, but doable for even someone unfit like me, and so worthit! Bring a full bottle of water, and plan to spend at least 2 to 3 hours (between the shuttle, up and down, walking and crossing the bridge, you will need it to enjoy this...

The place is beautiful and crowded although only 250person only can go there in a day, still it is crowded. If you do not exercise much it will be a bit difficult for you to hike the steep road going to the bridge, but its all worth it! How to geth there, if you are grom northern part take the TRA Southbound and get off At Ershui station then transfer to Jiji line and get off at Shuili station, from there you have to walk a little and take bus 6288 going to the starting of the hike which is (Shuanglong station the last station) make sure you take note of the time because 6288 shuttle arrives 30mins to 1hr and last...

You catch a bus from the car park up the mountain to a drop off point. It cos 100 per person. Then there is a 30 minute steep hike (longer if you are unfit) there are toilets at the top a well as shops along the way. The are stairs down to the the suspension bridge but you can rest at the restaurant before going down. The bridge quite a sight and isn't as scary as I expected.
