Daguoye Columnar Basalt — Attraction in Xiyu Township

This place was really beautiful and worth the trip to see, I thought that it was just a Rocky Mountain but I was so wrong. It really is one of PengHu’s most beautiful places. One of the locals told me that this place sometimes has not water. I was really lucky that it had water this time. The view from the bottom as awesome and the view from the hill top was so romantic. You get to see beautiful sea scenery and from the top view the little lake looks like a heart ~ so cute and so romantic!

Pretty cool basalt columns. It looks pretty different depending on the time of year as well as how much rain there’s been lately. In the dry months (winter especially), there is no pond in front of it and can easily walk right up to it. Though in the dry months it also looks pretty dead. Worth a stop, but not more than 15-20 minutes...
