Bunun Leisure Farm — Attraction in Yanping

I had the pleasure of volunteering for the Bunun Leisure Farm, which was an amazing experience that I will remember for the rest of my life. Immediately upon arrival, we were greeted with so much hospitality, and throughout our stay we were treated with so much love as if we were one of their own. The work was rewarding, and it was an honor to be a part of so many different projects around the farm.

The amount of dedication the staff put into their work is something rarely seen elsewhere, as they put their all into sharing their wonderful culture with the guests. For example, during the performance times, all work stops as all of the staff arrive at the stage for a cultural presentation, singing and dancing all together as one, representing all generations.

【2024.7.7】 每天早上10點半和下午2點，會有兩場布農族的傳統儀式、舞蹈和歌唱表演。這兩場表演的內容大致相同，因此建議選擇其中一個時間來觀看。特別值得一提的是，在重要工作時所唱的八部合音，這段歌聲極其震撼，能夠深深撼動聽眾的心靈。前一天在國立台灣史前文化博物館的影片中介紹了這部分，所以這次的現場觀賞非常有意義。主持人的解說也十分出色，雖然我的語言能力有限，只聽懂了一部分，但從解說中了解到，29年前這個設施剛成立前，這裡一片荒蕪，部落裡只有老人留下，年輕人不得不外出。儘管面臨包括疫情在內的各種困難，他們沒有抱怨或怨恨，而是積極面對，走到了今天。根據我的理解，他們的語氣充滿了正能量和力量。在上午的節目中，還有孩子們的參與，夫婦輪流抱著幼兒一起展示傳統舞蹈。雖然這些節目是為來訪者準備的，但我認為這也是傳承傳統文化的一部分。 我自己在週末喜歡到台灣各地一個人自在的旅遊，順便買東西或吃飯時，向當地人學習一兩句他們的方言。因此，我知道主持人的問候語 "mihumisang" 和 "wuninang" 的意思。以我所知有幾種不同的含義，我自己也在這裡試著用了幾次。不過，我還是有些疑惑，便向賣店的大哥確認了一下。他解釋說，這些詞語背後有著非常深厚的文化背景。這些都是從宣傳冊或網站、其他人的評論中無法得知的。非常感謝他分享了這些珍貴的故事。另外，這裡還有弓箭、雕刻並上色的皮革鑰匙圈、附有凹凸標記的明信片和美味的食物。我認為這是一個非常適合家庭旅行的地方。當你到台東旅遊時，建議你將行程延長一天，來訪布農部落休閒農場。

A very nice place. I visited on Monday and Tuesday and there were almost no people. For this reason, there wasn't a performance. If you want to visit the farm and see it, I recommend calling in advance. However, you can stroll around anyway. The area is beautiful and quiet. There is a nice coffee shop and a souvenir shop. They offer many interesting activities, for which you have to pay. You can also buy a package, which includes two activities and a meal.
