There are 3 rides that I would say that's its thrilling enough. Maya and the 2 boat rides that will make you wet (can't remember the names; one thats like a coaster and another on a round rubber float). There's the UFO ride as well but that was unfortunately closed for maintenance. :( Overall I give a 3.5 stars to be exact. Only because I think compared to all of the theme parks in TW, this has got to be the best. Less points because personally I feel that there could be improvements to the directions and signs of the theme park. In summary... For you thrill seekers who are looking for a good theme park in TW, come to this place. Its got to be one of the better ones in my opinion. Not to mention, sun moon lake is nearby and there are boat rides and cable car rides in this area. Theres quite a number of stuff to do here. Fancy riding an e-bike around the lake and hopping from place to place without needing a car or motorcycle? You got it. Tip: e-bikes are not allowed to be parked at the themepark's car park, thus u would have to walk in. Park your ebikes nearby "sun moon lake ropeway". Take the cable car up the mountain. You would reach the theme park at entrance/exit B. Down side to this is that you'll be entering the theme park from the back which meant that you have to go through the cultural "sightseeing" experience first. If that's not your thing, skip it and just head straight down the mountain to where the rides are. If you're not intending to go to the theme park via ebike, just hire a car or whatever means of transport you have directly towards the themepark entrance/exit A. Tip+: if you are heading back to sun moon lake ropeway, last cablecar is at 4pm (at entrance/exit B) meaning to say you would best need to leave the theme park by 330pm to catch the last cablecar back down. Else... be prepared to hire a car ride back down the mountain which might cost you 700NT. Hope this helps dear travelers ;)

This is my 2nd time in this place, It started 2015 and i am back 2019. I would say the cleanliness and the place doesn't change at all! For Taiwan price, I think this is the most expensive place I've paid about 850 NTD or around 28USD, Still a very affordable price for a theme park! I have good words for this place, although the rides are limited, there is rarely a line (I've went on weekdays) no queues at all. The lacking are being compensated with the greenery and views. all over the place is a garden of eve like. Flower blooms and everything is instagram picturesque. I felt like for the price i have paid for, this is so much worth my money specially doing the glass cabin cable car! (which cost you alot if you do it in Hongkong) and best thing it is for free! Tip: 1. If you have watched the Meteor Garden Taiwan version in early 2000s you may want to take a photo of the restaurant Lavander Carnival as this is the house of the Lead Actor in the series. 2. Take the cable car (there is 2 - one inside the park and 1 is going to sun moon lake) they are free even going to sunmoon lake - take opportunity to do the glass cabin which is also free! the mountains and the view is breath taking! 3. You can bring food and snack inside the theme park, so if you are on a budget you can bring your own food, nevertheless there are few restaurant inside. Which is affordable for a theme park place. (around 250 to 350 NTD range for food) 4. Bring some raincoat if you want to try the water activities. I would say this is one of the cleanest water ride I have ever go. The water is clean and the rides are also in best condition, knowing the park is been around for a while. 5. try to go on the cooler season and weekdays it feels like you own the entire theme park! 6. Enjoy and bring out the kid in you!

This is my all time favourite destination in Taiwan, even after several visits a year for the past 15 years! The Michelin star award for it's green environment and the superb Sun Moon Ropeway, which is the first cable car system in Taiwan and the one that links Sun Moon Lake to FACC! The 17-minute ride provides a breathtaking view of the lush woods and stunning views of Sun Moon Lake at one go. Formosan Aboriginal Cultural Center is essentially a living museum with activities, handicrafts, cultures of all the tribes of Taiwan condensed into a single location. You make DIY and/or purchase handicrafts & souvenirs at the many stations around the Aboriginal Village Park. There are also countless other souvenirs and gifts at the Amusement Island. In addition, there are many outlets offering delectable food, snacks and drinks here...not to mention the different themed exciting attractions. The UFO Adventures is Taiwan's tallest free fall ride at 280ft! All attractions at FACC are of imported technology from Holland, Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Italy. I'm a lover of cultural performances and shows. The extragavanza cultural performance and the unique tribal activities at the different "villages" have always given me much joy and fun. The beautifully synchronized dances, lively music and colourful costumes are simply a delight to watch...over and over again! The various cultural activities give such interesting insights into each tribe's unique culture - idiosyncrasies, if you will! Truly heaven on earth, I would visit FACC again and again, anytime!

I had an absolutely amazing time here! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the lively atmosphere and the beautiful scenery. The rides were thrilling, and the breathtaking views made the experience even more special. When I visited, the flowers were in full bloom, adding a vibrant splash of color to the surroundings. It was truly a sight to behold, making every moment feel magical. One of the best things about this place is that there are so many picturesque spots to take stunning photos. Whether you’re a fan of nature, amusement parks, or just looking for the perfect background for your pictures, this place has it all. Every corner was beautifully designed, making it a paradise for photography lovers. As for the attractions, there were plenty of rides to choose from, catering to all kinds of visitors, from thrill-seekers to those who just want to enjoy a relaxing day. But for me, the highlight was definitely the cable car—especially the Sakura cable car. The bottom of the car is transparent, allowing us to see everything below as we floated high above the breathtaking landscape. It was both exhilarating and mesmerizing, offering a completely unique perspective of the area. I couldn’t stop admiring the incredible view beneath my feet! Overall, this place is an absolute must-visit! Whether you’re coming with family, friends, or even on your own, there’s so much to see and do. I had so much fun and can’t wait to come back again for another unforgettable experience!

There is a lot of education regarding the native formosan people which is what we were looking for! We were not expecting a giant theme park at the end. Overall I felt like we got a lot out of the day and we had fun. We took the skyline from ita Thao to the park, which drops you off right at the top. We strolled down through recreations of villages of all 9 tribes, as recreated by historians. There were shows and museums along the way, it was a really pleasant walk that circulates well. It feels like there are some historical components missing; I wanted to learn more about how people have been affected by colonization and how these cultures are being protected today. We were happy with our experience through here and the English translations were very helpful! We didn't get to the theme park until the end of the day, so we didn't get to explore much. Many of the rides were closed, maybe because it's not a tourist season? It was odd to us as foreigners that the theme park, which exhibits rides themed after many different cultures like Spanish and Mayan, is juxtaposed next to the villages. However the rides looked awesome, it felt like a fun addition after we took a long time in the educational part of the park.

This was one of my favorite stops when I visited taiwan last month. It was so empty my friend and I didn't have to wait in any lines to get on the rides! Felt like we had this whole place to ourselves. Pick weekdays to go and you might be as lucky as us! There's a promotion on kkday where you can get the tickets on discount along with the cable cars to sun moon lake 750ntd + high speed rail deal (300ntd off). Really good price and so worth it! Loved the Spanish coast with really nice set up that's similar to park guell in Barcelona, I actually preferred this one over that since it's less crowded and you get to go on rides to enjoy the views :) highly recommend adding this place to your list when you visit taiwan, great for family and groups! It's easier if you have a car so you can stay at the park longer vs trying to catch a bus. I'd be going back again next time I visit!
