Zhuangwei Sand Dunes Ecological Park — Attraction in Zhuangwei

Zhuangwei Dune Visitor Center is a good place to visit if you are into architecture. Designed by the renowned architect, Huang Sheng-Yuan, the building itself merges into the nature around it. It looks as if it was modelled after a sand dune, and the inside of the building has bumps and curves, and is smoothed over just as if the wind had eroded it through time. Visitors can also walk around the top of the building and explore the scenery from up there. You can spot Turtle Island off in the distance, as well as the nearby ecological park. This is just a very impressive building architecturally. There are exhibition spaces, which had some very interesting installations when we visited, but you really just want to come here to walk through the building, probably wondering how something like this ended up in the middle of the countryside and how much it contrasts with surrounding buildings. ✩整體評鑑✩ ：『壯圍沙丘旅遊服務園區』，融合宜蘭壯圍濱海特有自然元素，呈現沙丘地景風貌及獨特建築風格，在瀟瀟低吟的海風聲中，讓人不自覺地會放慢腳步。 不論在晨曦，落日後，漫步園區、聆聽浪潮的聲音、體驗荒涼寂靜的意境，如同進入「荒島」場景或是另類「寂寞星球」的空間感』。

『壯圍沙丘旅遊服務園區』位於台2線濱海公路149.3K旁，不過園區入口的門面路標不太明顯，外地人開車常會開過頭或是找不到入口處。園區由名建築師黃聲遠，以「空出谷地，看見沙丘」為核心概念規劃設計，融合宜蘭壯圍濱海特有自然元素，呈現沙丘地景風貌及建築空間營造。園區於2018年4月28日落成啟用，規劃有遊客中心、沙丘展覽館(由蔡明亮導演策劃)及森林島嶼(由薰衣草森林進駐經營)等空間。另外周邊還有壯圍海濱、自行車道、後埤及廍後特色社區、蘭陽溪口賞鳥保護區等特色美景，(註.)。

✩園區主要景點與建築特色✩

一、「沙丘展覽館」： 由蔡明亮導演以「沙丘」意象為核心，策劃6大主題展廳(塵、海、月光、風、潮及雨等主題)，整體呈現主要透過大型影像投影，並融合壯圍自然元素如沙、防風林、水等佈景裝置，讓民眾可以親臨感受自然，而不同主題展廳所投影的牆面，不僅運用建築原本不規則彎曲的沙穴空間、沙紋質理牆面，更特別的是貼附於玻璃帷幕的手工繪製大型圖面，每一圖面都是蔡明亮導演親手貼繪，如「塵」廳即用炭筆線條及不規撕紙貼附手法，來展現壯圍沙丘及林投樹的自然意象，此外，各展廳更依不同空間氛圍播映蔡明亮導演「慢走長征」系列影片如無色、行者、西遊、沙等共8部作品，其中「沙」短片，即為蔡明亮導演及李康生演員獻給壯圍及本園區的最新創作。走進展廳民眾可以同時感受空間所營造的視覺與感官的互動效果，亦同時可以沉浸在作品所傳達的「緩慢」當中。

二、「森林島嶼賣店」：

以「時光沙漏」為營運概念，運用宜蘭在地風土、植物及人文，打造室內空間、特色餐飲、創意商品、寓教於樂等獨特的服務體驗，擴大與遊客的深度溝通，讓壯圍、沙丘及漁村文化能夠持續深化傳承。映入眼簾的是「森林島嶼」，是來自薰衣草森林團隊打造的選物店，裡面許多在地以及台灣各地的特色產品，例如：台中苑裡的「藺草帽」，還有100%可回收的夾腳拖鞋和涼鞋，三星四季青花瓷及蘭雨茶等 ..

三、「遊客中心」： 設有大、小客車停車場、鐵馬驛站、旅遊諮詢服務台、多媒體視聽室可容納50人，播放數位影音多媒體影片「山海戀風景」或蔡明亮導演慢走長征系列影片「沙」花絮影片，其他還有介紹東北角旅遊景點的資訊摺頁供遊客索取。

走在園區一旁是素淨的鄉野，一旁是波瀾不興的池水，加上眼前起伏不定沙丘景色及瀟瀟低吟的海風聲，讓人不自覺地會放慢腳步。...
