As a person who is magnetized to outdoor activities this is one of the most enjoyable and unique places I have been. It is difficult to get in and out unless you have access to a car, the nearest bus stop is a 3 mile walk.

The hike can be made as easy or difficult as your fitness level goes as you can just turn around if you feel overwhelmed, but the best sights will require at least a decent level of cardio health even in ideal weather, you will want ample water and probably some sort of protein/carb snack.

The path is well maintained and there are no issues figuring out where you are supposed to go, each split from the trailhead has good signage in both Chinese and English, plan on being here at least 2 or 3 hours if you want to explore...

The sky ladder is really quite amazing. In case anyone is wondering - it's not a suspension bridge, it's more like a suspended staircase with very narrow gaps in between the steps, so it's really safe to walk on.

Tbh it's rather tiring but not as difficult as I thought, since the path is very well-paved. It takes about 40 mins to get to the sky ladder and 1h back (because you're going uphill and will stop more often to catch your breath - unless you are super fit or have super strong knees!).

Try to go as early as possible to avoid the crowds - we reached the sky ladder at almost 930am on a weekday and there was no one. It was really serene...

Go there early at 8-9am if you want to avoid the crowds and have the whole place to yourself. I went on a weekday and big groups started streaming in at 10am as i was returning to the entrance.

It's a pretty strenuous activity so I would recommend it for the physically fit only.

From the entrance, it's a 40 mins walk downhill (mainly staircases) to the sky ladder. Scenic views along the way which is reminiscent of Arashiyama's bamboo forest. The real challenge is the uphill climb back on the long flight of steps. It took about 1 hour to walk back to the entrance.

P.S. I did not complete the trail, turned back at the end of...

The main natural attraction in this area, overall great beautiful scenery. Along the hike we got to see some nice views, our favourites are the ladder suspension bridge 天梯 and the waterfall. The hike is mainly downwards at the start so the returning hike is tough, mainly steps upwards back to the main entrance. The management provides an opinion to have transportation to pick u up back to the main entrance if u prefers not to climb up the stairs.
