We reached out to Bright African Safaris and Salim responded immediately with some sample itineraries. He worked very closely with me building the itinerary based on our interests. I asked a million questions and he always responded same day with very specific answers. If a property we inquired about wasn’t available, he found an even better spot to replace it. He worked very quickly putting our trip together and payment was extremely easy and very trustworthy. I built a very nice relationship with Salim leading up to our trip and we were able to meet him in person the day after our arrival where he and the team greeted us with smiles and a nice welcome gift. On arrival it was very easy to find our driver at the airport who then drove us to our first hotel. We met our safari driver Mr. Rama Banana on our first day of Safari. Full of smiles and very excited to begin our 7 day safari adventure. He drove us through Arusha and ended up on Ngorongoro crater a few hours later. We had lunch on the perimeter of the crater which was beautifully packaged in silver tins and delicious whole foods. Going down into the crater was beautiful, we were in the crater for 1-2hours and saw elephants, TONS of zebras, gazelles, thousands of flamingos, loads of buffalo, many ostrich, some hippos and 3 black rhino which is apparently very rare to see even one and a handful of lions and even caught 2 lions mating! It was a crazy day! We continued on our safari journey with Banana the next morning. We drove on the opposite crater rim to exit Ngorongoro area and head towards Ndutu. There we saw multiple lions napping/relaxing high up in trees, a heard of female lions with many cubs lying in the mud resting after finding water, so many impala and gazelle, giraffe were roaming amongst tall trees, elephant somehow camouflaged extremely well despite their grandiose size and were so stunning, we saw a family of elephants with a cute little baby, a handful of miniature little deer called dik dik, some small red fox, managed to catch sight of a couple serval, a huge flying owl, many many maribu, vultures, we found 3 cheetas scoping the scene for prey and watched them charge at a giant antelope and then at some impala, Banana found a leopard very far up hiding in a tree eating a small wildebeest, we saw a heard of eland which are ridiculously giant, found a little mongoose running around after some food, hippos and thousands of flamingos in lake Ndutu, so many tiny but brilliantly colored birds, and most of all hundreds of thousands of wildebeests with their brand new calves all constantly running around during their migration. We spent 2 days exploring the Serengeti where we saw an entirely different ecosystem makeup. It was beautiful to see these animals roaming the beautiful grasslands. We saw a bunch of new birds and this is where we saw the most hyena. Our driver Banana ventured down a long muddy area with his amazing driving abilities and we were able to see yet another leopard lounging up in a tree, so beautiful. On that same day we came across a pack of lions feasting on a buffalo. We happened upon an area with about 50 hippos all playing and splashing around. It was incredible to see. We saw a lot of baboon in this area and even a few other type of monkeys. We also caught eye of a couple crocodiles floating in the water and on the banks. At the end of the safari back in Arusha, Mr. Godwin as well as Salim and other members of the team eagerly greeted us to ask how our safari had been. They were so happy and warm and friendly and really wanted to make sure we had a wonderful time, which we absolutely did. Our driver took us around Arusha to show us the area and again picked us up the next day to bring us to the airport. We recommend this company with the highest regards all around. We actually cannot wait to tell friends and family not only about our incredible trip but also the specifics of who to book it through and who to drive with. 100% 5 stars all around. Thank you thank you Bright African Safaris!

Wanted to say kudos to the Bright Safari for showing us a wonderful time in Tanzania during our recent Safari visit. The owner Masangi And his assistant, Salim in the office did a good job helping us organize the trip. You can communicate with them via what sap or via email. We had researched more than eight safari companies and narrowed it down to three and finally decided to go with Bright safaris. This company is based out of Arusha, hence keeping it local. It helps the local economy and they are very well versed with the terrain and case you have an emergency like a jeep getting stuck their close enough to come and get you. They give you choices of different lodges and tented places to stay. They are all excellent choices. The three guides who picked us up from the airport at Serengeti air strip May the best things that ever happened to us in this trip. Salim ,who has an eye of an eagle the leader of the pack was the driver and guide could spot Leopards On trees and cheetahs in between the grass. Rajabh ,who has the smell of a bear could anticipate animals -The driver guide was very enthusiastic and energetic, and was always helpful in helping a lot of people needed help on the way and getting stuck in the mud. Albert, the driver guide was great in spotting birds and his knowledge was amazing. The hospitality was excellent. They selected the best places for Us to eat in the Bush, always with Giraffes, Zebras and Elephants in the background. I must mention that there the three best drivers in terms of navigating through the tough roads one could ever get!The Jeeps were very comfortable throughout the journey. They were also very flexible with our schedules. We had kids with us who enjoyed every bit of it!! I would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone who is looking to have a good time and enjoy nature and one of the best Ecosystems, nature has to offer. The Serengeti landscape And Gorongoro craters are amazing. The ecosystem was full of wild animals living in harmony with each other and Got to learn about the food chain. We also got to see a Kill. A pride of lions killing the African Buffalo. I wish this self-made company. The best and we would not hesitate to use them again if I travels take us there.

My husband and I went on a 9-day safari organized by Bright African Safaris in mid-August 2018, and it truly was the trip of a lifetime! In the initial research stage, Salim was great with communicating options and creating possible itineraries for us to consider. We were originally planning a shorter trip, but ended up extending by a few days. We absolutely loved the itinerary Salim put together. We started with a walking tour in Arusha National Park, then Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Central Seregeti, Northern Serengeti and finally, Ngorongoro Crater. We were lucky to have Malisa as our guide/driver the whole trip. He is a walking, talking encyclopedia of wildlife! Truly a great person and we felt so lucky to share his company for nine days. We felt safe throughout the trip, even around the lions, elephants and other large animals. Malisa tooks us on more scenic routes when possible and always checked in to make sure we were comfortable during long drives. He has such a great eye for spotting wildlife, some of which I had to use binoculars to see! Highlights included watching the great migration in Northern Serengeti (especially watching the wildebeest and zebras crossing the Mara River), watching a mama lion take down a wildebeest and share the bounty with her cubs, watching a leopard come down from a tree to protect his freshly killed prey (an eland), watching zebras in a tussle and sleeping in migration camps in the middle of the Serengeti. We heard lions, zebras and wildebeest outside of our tent and it felt rather surreal to be there. We chose the mid-range option in terms of accommodations and were very happy with all the hotels, lodges and tented camps booked for us by Salim. We were so impressed that the tented camps had running hot water, electricity and very comfortable furniture (including real mattresses and comfy bedding), which was like living in the lap of luxury after climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro the week before. I would highly recommend Bright African Safaris for anyone looking for a local, well-organized, high quality safari in Tanzania. We would choose them again in a heart beat!

My girlfriend and I just wrapped up our 3-week trip to Tanzania, which included a 7-day Hike on Kilimanjaro as well as a 5-day safari tour, all through Bright African Safaris. We could not have been happier with the experience and have nothing but the best to say about the trip!

For the Kilimanjaro Hike our Head Guide was Habibu, with Mathew as the Assistant Guide, along with our 11 other porters. We met Habibu first and he was instantly so friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable, he gave a sense of security having him at the helm. Always very engaging and easy to talk too, a good leader. Mathew was the Assistant Guide, but the one who we spent most of our days with for the hike. He was a friendly, honest man who could be rather stoic in many ways. An infinitely patient man to our “Pole Pole”, filling time with being our part time photographer, or helping us learn more Swahili. I wouldn’t have made the summit without him, he kept me going when the mountain sickness was hitting me hard. Keeping me going and focused, making that summit with him meant a lot, an experience I won’t ever forget. My brother from another Mountain. Rafiki Yangu As for the Porters, I wish I could remember all their names better so that I could give each of them a personal shout out but alas I cannot. What I will say is that I have the utmost respect for every one of them. The job is hard, dirty, and not often glamorous; they are the unsung heroes of the whole operation. All of them were professional and polite at all interactions with my only regret being that I didn’t get a chance to know them better.

We next did the Northern circuit 5-day safari accompanied by Albert, our guide, and Hans, our cook. Albert was an excellent guide, not only very knowledgeable about the safari but also a charismatic joy to be around. Spending the days with him were always a pleasure, easy to joke with and helpful with any local questions we had. A genuinely nice person that I wish we had more time to spend together because the whole experience was so fun. Hans, was the best cook you could hope for, whipping up delicious local meals for breakfast lunch and dinner. A tireless cook who was also a joy to talk with and was a pleasure to share a laugh with.

Another great appreciation we had for Bright African Safaris, besides their amazing staff, was there consciousness towards their environmental footprint. Both activities treat you to the amazing wonders that Tanzania has to offer. So, it was a real pleasure knowing that this company truly cared about limiting their waste production to a minimum. Especially when we would see that some other Tour companies wouldn’t make as much of an effort. An all around professional and caring company that made for a memorable trip that will last a...
