Excellent slides and park but it took us an hour just to get in from initial greeting to getting on the slides. It's really long winded and you keep getting surprised at every stage. At first we realised that they don't take cash so we had to pay for a prepaid card to pay for the tickets and when you cash out at the end you'll pay again. The lady at the desk was not the best at her job and you don't feel welcomed especially if you're new to their processes, like we were.
They charge you for the lockers and the float to go on the slides too and also charge a deposit for it. This also comes as a surprise and may take you ages to sort as you'll have to go back and forth trying to locate the person who takes the payment and then back to find the locker person.
2 of the slides need floats and they'll charge you extra for.
They never gave us back this deposit for the locker and float on the prepaid card so careful when the lady says she has charged it back ensure she's done it. The locker is good but try carrying a really tiny key with you on the slides. Seems like they haven't thought of this.
The water park itself is excellent and the staff are really good.
Mens Showers are broken and perhaps they need a family changing room for dads that visit with their daughters as it causes problems visiting the mens rooms with young daughters.
Prayer area is available which is good.
You're not allowed to take your own food/snacks/water ! . Which is fair but they don't tell you this at any point except when you're entering and the ticket person starts going through your bags forcefully. We had special food for the child because of a medical condition and they made it really difficult for us.
The funny bit is that they ask you to buy your food as a package at the start when you're trying to go in and give you a discount for this. They remove the discount if you buy the same lunch at the cafe inside. This doesn't make sense considering you're not allowed to bring your own food so you'll end up at the cafe anyways. Seems like it's just there to frustrate people.
Perhaps the managers need to recruit people to visit the park from start to finish to ensure a quality check if they want to achieve excellence in customer satisfaction. But as for the slides and park it's an excellent...
Read moreThe ambience is good. And kids do enjoy. It was a fun filled time for all our kids. BUT then consider yourselves locked in.
We just entered and saw this happening to 2 kids and their morher.
Apparently it was about them forgetting their bag in the car. And kids being kids couldnt wait for the askaris to open gate which as we saw also was taking some time and one kid jumped the gate to go get it.
We saw the kids return and they refused to allow him to enter saying we are calling the POLICE as he committed a crime.
These words are startling. May be a warning informing kid this isn't allowed.
He did have a band, so it proved he had paid and entered. So a simple check on the receipt for the time they entered would have proved that they had just entered which the child was claiming so it would mak sense that they rrally could have forgotten the bag.
We moved on then.
But from whatever we saw and understood the word POLICE was not an encouraging word for customers.
We were onlookers and the whole situation looked very unpleasant and discouraging for us imagine other customers opinion.
Point 1. They don't allow to go out Point 2. If they do allow then their guy who has keys wasnt available for almost 25 mins, so our concern as to in an emergency what do we do. If the guy with the keys isn't available. Point 3. If words like Police and offence is used. Then why wasnt it written in huge letters before entering their final gate that " DO NOT FORGET ANYTHING OF PERSONAL USE BEFORE YOU ENTER. AS YOU WOULDN'T BE ALLOWED GO OUT TO GET, IF YOU DO THEN YOU PAY AGAIN .
This way all customers are aware and then it's on the customer to whether enter...
Read moreKunduchi Wet N Wild is where the inner child in me gets to play! I've been here a few times and have never felt disappointed. The water slides are super fun, and the music is awesome. There is also one area just for kids, which is nice. All entry tickets also come with food - ranging from TZS 35,000 to TZS 50,000. The higher fares give you other add-ons like pop corn, ice creams, and free floaters/sliding mats. There is also a locker facility to keep valuables. It has ample parking space, too.
Unlike most water theme parks I've been to, you need to rent out floaters or sliding mats - they are not free. The charges are nominal, and you get some of it back as part of a security deposit. They only accept card payments. If you dont have a card, they provide cash cards for TZS 2500, which you top up.
The only small issue I had was with the chlorine content in the water, which makes your eyes teary and blurs vision at the end of the day. But I guess spending an entire day in treated water tends to do that regardless of chemical content. The food quality has also improved from previous visits, but could be better. A couple of us also got hurt on the water slides where you need to use the floating tubes - but the staff had warned us to take care while on them. The current single-person tubes are quite small for adults which might be causing people to flip over. It would be better if they bring back the bigger tubes they used to have in the past.
Overall, this has been a sureshot happy place...
