We had the pleasure of staying here. The place is well maintained, blended with nature (without fences), has friendly and welcoming staff, and delicious food at the restaurant. We were welcomed by Alex, the general manager, who explained everything and gave us his phone number to reach him if needed as there's no phone in the room (he's reachable via WhatsApp). The tents are easy to open and close via strong zippers and two layers, one of which is a mesh. The beds have mesh hung around them if you want extra protection. The bathroom in the back of the tent is actually built of regular walls, so you'd access it via the tent zipper. The outside terrace is nice to sit on to witness the sunrise and sunset. The place is clean. There's a safe in the room. There's laundry service, as well. Roman, the supervisor, was also very helpful upon check out, and frequently asked us about our experience during our stay. At the restaurant, we were served by Daniel and John, who were kind and attentive to our needs. The wifi is available only in public areas (the restaurant and the reception) but not in the rooms. So, it's recommended to have a data package in your phone. Especially if you'd need to contact Alex the manager via WhatsApp. There's a small gift shop at the reception area. As the place isn't fenced, we were able to enjoy seeing some of the wild animals within a 500 m distance. We saw a zebra, a wildebeest, and some gazelles. At night we heard the sounds of hyenas, which was cool. It's safe to walk to and from the restaurant and the reception (where you'd ride your safari car) during the day. But in the evening, you'd be accompanied by a security guard. So, you'd inform the reception after your return from the safari or by texting Alex of the time you'd like to be picked up by the security guard from your tent to the restaurant. Rooms 9 and 10 are the closest to...
Read moreThis was my last accommodation on my safari trip. Wish I had another night here. They are not far from the Seronera airstrip.
I love the staff here! They are friendly, easy to communicate, and welcoming. The security guard takes his job seriously here. Every staff member all said bye to me on my way out.
Breakfast and dinner is setup a bit different than the other 3 lodges owned by Paradise Wilderness. For dinner, there was no buffet. They served each course straight from the kitchen. For breakfast, it was buffet style. They served vegetables, eggs, and sausage from the kitchen.
Beware that there are plenty of animals that pass through the campsite. I did hear an animal in the middle of the night. They said it was an African Buffalo. An elephant ruptured the water line the day I arrived and there was no water for some hours, but it was fixed on the same day.
I love that the room faces the bush. You can catch the sun rise in...
