Miracle Experience Seronera Basecamp — Attraction in Ikoma

We did a hot air balloon safari over Tarangire National Park in May, and it was nothing short of magical. I went with a party of 8 that included my wife, our two toddlers, and 4 friends. The Miracle team truly outdid my expectations. We were nervous about doing it with toddlers, but the Miracle team was very reassuring and attentive. One thing that stood out in particular was when our briefing guide, Mr. Kipuyo, gave us the excellent recommendation to bring along headphones for the kids because of the loud noise produced by the burner, which was fantastic.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience. It was unforgettable from start to finish. There’s something incredibly serene about silently gliding over the landscape at sunrise, watching the world come to life below you. The views were breathtaking — we spotted hyenas moving through tall grass, ostriches running across open plains, elephants crossing the river, and even monkeys perched high in the trees. Seeing wildlife from a bird’s-eye view adds a whole new dimension to the safari experience.

The staff were amazing, warm, professional, and great with our little ones, and our pilot, Cesar, was exceptional, making us feel safe and relaxed throughout the flight. Cesar even served us adults' coffee while on the balloon ride. Talk about service! 🙌🏿 The spectacular experience didn't end in the sky; we were treated to a champagne toast and hearty bush breakfast there after - such an all-around great experience.

The staff at Miracle was fun, engaging, and extremely skilled at what they do. As soon as Captain Baris addressed the crowd, we hoped we would have him as our driver for the day, and we were lucky enough to end up in his balloon. Captain Baris was very qualified and personable, and I felt comfortable flying with him, despite my nagging fear of heights. And the way he navigated the balloon was like something out of a dream—the blushing beauty of the Serengeti under a rising sun, the chitter of the birds and the breathing of the air as you skirt over the trees, are sounds and images that can never leave you, and you can never recreate, for the rest of your life.

And the activities after the balloon ride were just as memorable. Bush breakfast was full of laughter, singing, and good food, and we appreciated the energy the staff invested into the experience—they even held a small ceremony to recognize birthdays, honeymoons, anniversaries, graduations etc.

WOW, just WOW! A very big thank you to the entire Miracle Experience team for all your did during this mornings hot air balloon experience in the Serengeti. Your ground team were incredibly friendly and efficient from the time they picked me up from the beautiful Togoro Plains lodge, to ensuring they got us to the launch site early to have coffee and prepare for the flight. The pilot was so professional and left nothing unsaid when it came to going through the safety briefing; his priority for each of us passengers. This really is a must do activity, once in a lifetime experience. My fellow passengers from Canada, USA, Germany, Mexico, Spain and France couldn't stop expressing their excitement about what they had just done during the amazing bush breakfast.
