Visiting Materuni Waterfall and the coffee-making village was an unforgettable experience that blended nature's beauty with cultural richness. The hike to the waterfall was a journey through lush green landscapes, with every step drawing us closer to the stunning cascade that awaited us. When we finally reached the waterfall, its beauty was absolutely breathtaking—a powerful stream of water plunging into a serene pool, surrounded by vibrant plant life. It felt like we had stepped into a hidden paradise. The highlight of the day, though, was learning the traditional coffee-making process in the village. From picking and roasting the beans to grinding them by hand and finally brewing a fresh cup, every moment was filled with warmth and joy. The villagers shared their knowledge and traditions with such enthusiasm that it made the experience feel truly special. Sipping that rich, freshly brewed coffee—knowing we had helped make it—was like tasting the culture and heart of the community. What made this visit stand out was the genuine hospitality of the people. They welcomed us with open arms, turning a simple day trip into a celebration of life and connection. If you ever find yourself near Materuni, don't miss this chance to enjoy the natural beauty and immerse yourself in the local culture. It’s more than just a visit; it’s an experience that touches your soul.

I highly recommend this tour for anyone who can hike a few kilometers on occasionally steep terrain with help. It was the most fun I've had in a long time. The waterfall is stunning, the village before the waterfall picturesque and interesting, and the coffee experience is extremely fun if you like being sung and danced for by a bunch of handsome locals while you take a turn pounding coffee beans, then roasting, and pounding again. And if you like coffee, drinking the product of your (mild) labors is the perfect finish.
