7 Days Kilimanjaro Climb via Machame Route

The seven-day climb up Kilimanjaro via the Machame Route was a truly transformative experience. The route, known for its scenic beauty, provided us with breathtaking views and diverse landscapes, from lush rainforests to alpine deserts. Each day presented its own challenges and rewards, but the support of our experienced guides and porters made the journey manageable and enjoyable.

Their knowledge, encouragement, and professionalism were indispensable, helping us acclimate properly and ensuring our safety throughout the ascent. The camaraderie among our group of seven was a highlight, and reaching the summit together was a triumphant moment we will cherish forever. Following our climb, we embarked on a six-day safari that took us through the Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire National Park. This portion of the trip was equally remarkable, offering us close encounters with Tanzania’s rich wildlife and stunning landscapes.

In the Serengeti, we witnessed the Great Migration, a breathtaking spectacle of wildebeests and zebras. Ngorongoro Crater provided a unique ecosystem teeming with diverse species, and Tarangire surprised us with its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Our guide's expertise enhanced our experience, as he was able to spot and identify animals with ease and share fascinating insights about their behaviors and habitats.

Our family recently returned from an incredible 6-day safari experience with Rede Tours and Safaris, and we’re still buzzing with excitement! From start to finish, everything was flawlessly arranged, offering us the perfect blend of adventure, comfort, and unforgettable wildlife moments.

First of all, the vehicles were top-notch spacious, clean, comfortable, and perfectly suited for game viewing. With pop-up roofs and charging ports, they made every journey smooth and enjoyable, even with kids onboard. It truly felt like luxury in the wild!

What made this trip exceptional, however, was our guide an absolute world-class professional! His knowledge of the parks, animals, and Tanzanian culture was outstanding. He had a sixth sense for spotting wildlife from the Big Five to rare bird species and explained everything with such passion and clarity that even our children were completely captivated. His patience, humor, and dedication made every game drive a joy, and we always felt safe and well taken care of.

The safari took us through Tarangire, Serengeti, and the Ngorongoro Crater, each offering its own magical scenes. We witnessed elephants crossing right in front of us, lions lounging under acacia trees, and a breathtaking sunset over the Serengeti plains. This tour was nothing short of incredible, and left us with life-long memories we will cherish forever. The Lemosho route allowed us to acclimatize gradually while taking our time to enjoy the beautiful surrounding nature, ending with our successful ascent to the summit!

From the pick up, meeting of the crew, and start of the hike we felt well supported. Along the way, we had an entire team rooting for us, supporting us, cooking for us, and guiding us through dense forests, barren rock lands, and arctic altitudes. They carried our gear, set up our tents, and gave us daily briefings so we felt informed and comfortable. Our guides Venance and Johnson were awesome and were with us every step of the way. And our waiter Pius was always so attentive and made sure we had what we needed before and after a long day's trek.

The chef Juma is a true talent with food and the best cook on the mountain (and all of Moshi for that matter). We highly recommend this company, these amazing people, and this route for all those hoping to successfully conquer Kilimanjaro.
