It is one of the only activity within morogoro. If you love hiking this is for you. We have chose to hike ourselves without a guide (some tourism companies offer guides). If you want you can take a motorbike from the starting point but on the way of hiking there are also bodas (motorbikes) that will keep offering you to take you up there incase you get tired. There is entry fee for the waterfalls but not for the hiking. We paid 5,000 per person as foreigners. It had rained before we started the hike, and the ground is like clay soil in most of the trails you will pass so it makes it hard to hike if you are not wearing proper shoes. On the way you meet friendly villagers and see some animals if you are lucky (monkeys, chameleons). There are some viewpoints on the way with amazing panoramic scenery. The waterfall is not much suitable for swimming because it is shallow, deepest it gets is just below your waist, and it is ice cold and your feet become numb after few seconds. However, if you decide to go in, it somehow doesnt feel that cold after your knees. Overall, i highly recommend this hike if you are in Morogoro even just for...

Read moreIt's not easy getting to Choma waterfalls, that has to be said. But using a tuktuk motorcycle rider will get you there. Even though these guys are heroes on the slippery path to get there we had to walk the last part because rain had made the narrow road very difficult to ride on. The tuktuk riders went with us and were nice enough to show us the way and make some pictures. The waterfalls didn't disappoint, but also there were some beautiful panoramas with a view on Morogoro. I would advise you to wear shoes with profiled soles if you want...
