Wat Si Rongmuang is one of the most interesting temples in Lampang because of it's Burmese architectural style, which differs from the typical Lanna or Rattanokosin styles seen in this area. It was built from 1905-1912 by the Burmese workers who came here to work in the teak trade. The beams and ceiling are made of teak wood. It is a beautiful temple and it is a delight to spend some time here looking at the exterior and the interior decoration. The grounds are very peaceful. Un bellissimo tempio riccamente decorato, costruito da immigrati birmani all'inizio del XX secolo. Il suo stile è Shan con influenze di Lanna. Il tempio fu fondato all'inizio del XX secolo; la costruzione del viharn in legno di teak fu completata nel 1912. La pianta del pavimento in legno di teak si trova su un asse orizzontale, consentendo una visione ampia della struttura quando ci si avvicina. Questo orientamento differisce dalle aste in stile Lanna e Rattanakosin, dove è visibile solo la facciata anteriore quando si sale e la struttura si estende su un asse verticale. Tra questi ci sono un grande Buddha in stile Mandalay seduto nel mudra Bhumisparsha e un'immagine più piccola in stile Lanna in un Ku molto ornamentale. The temple grounds itself is not very large. They ask for a donation (I think it's 20 baht) for the maintenance of the temple.
