Namtok Chet Si Waterfall: The Waterfall of 7 Colours — Attraction in Bueng Kan Province

I would like to split my comments into 2 parts : The first part is the falls which is truly amazing, the water just downpour from 30 meters cliff above, even though i went there in late October; it still got plenty of water that you able to see rainbow, highly recommend especially the highest floor, but you gotta have a good fitness cause it takes 1.2 km to reach, but you won’t be regret once you have reached.

The second part is significantly important; the “SECURITY and CONVENIENCE”, i parked my car at the front of entrance, there were no guards nor local official staffs who should accommodate travelers, only i saw was the old restrooms and a herd of dogs that i guessed they lived around there, but not as a pet of near temple, they started to intimidate me and blocked my way not to get through, i had to call official staffs from another waterfall headquarter to give some help. Luckily, I managed to go pass them (But They should not let dogs to scare tourists like this cause they may contain Rabies and if they bit people, that is a trouble for us, some staffs must anticipate and stay there and do their jobs!!!) Also, the pathway to the falls is 1.2 km with dense forest alongside. So, they should at least make some clear signs to tell which ways to walk cause I literally got lost for several times, i was one of the only tourist who was there and got frightened. Fortunately, i heard the sound of people down there so I followed and met with them, and that was where i found the way back. However, the highest floor, tourist must walk through the pathways with old stairs and rope, some parts are narrow and dark kind of like a cave, but there were no indicated signs at all, that’s why i got lost from tireness and dehydration. The way back are complicated cause there were several ways covered with dense trees and bushes which trust me, it confuses most people. Lastly, please fix the facilities; the restroom, the parking lot, the guardians must stayed there and ready to assist tourists at all times, no dangerous animals should intimidate tourists, and make clear signs all the ways. As a Thai tourist, i have spent typing this long comment for the sake of beautiful Chet Si Waterfall.

ขอแบ่งเป็นสองหัวข้อครับ (ส่วนของน้ำตก กับส่วนของความปลอดภัยและความสะดวกสบาย)

เริ่มที่น้ำตก น้ำตกสวยมากครับ มีหลายชั้น ชั้นบนสวยที่สุด เป็นสายน้ำที่ตกลงมาจากหน้าผาสูง มาช่วงปลายตุลา น้ำยังเยอะดีครับ สามารถมองเห็นสายรุ้งได้ตอนถ่ายรูป แต่ต้องใช่แรงเดินขึ้นมาหน่อยเพราะทางขึ้นแคบ ชัน และ ลื่น แต่มาถึงก็หายเหนื่อยครับเพราะมันสวยจริงๆ

ส่วนที่สองคือข้อเสียที่จะวิจารณ์และอยากให้ปรับปรุงอย่างยิ่งครับ คือเรื่องสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกและความปลอดภัย อย่างแรกเลยคือลานจอดรถ ขรุขระมากครับ พื้นเป็นหินไม่เท่ากัน อาจส่งผลต่อยางรถยนต์ได้ อย่างที่สอง มีสุนัขจรจัดครับ ไม่ทราบเหมือนกันว่าทางวัดเลี้ยงแบบปล่อยหรืออย่างไร แต่ไม่ควรให้เค้าเข้ามาขู่หรือทำให้นักท่องเที่ยวกลัวครับ อันนี้ซีเรียส เพราะเค้าอาจจะไปกัดนักท่องเที่ยวได้ มีเชื้อพิษสุนัขบ้ารึเปล่าก็ไม่รู้ สำคัญมากนะครับ อันดับสาม ไม่มีเจ้าหน้าที่เลยตั้งแต่ด่านตรวจข้างล่าง และทางเข้าน้ำตก ควรมีเจ้าหน้าที่ให้บริการและรักษาความปลอดภัยครับ เผื่อมีคนหลงป่า จะได้ช่วยได้ทันเวลาครับ อันที่สี่ ห้องน้ำและสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวก เก่ามากครับ ร้านค้าก็ไม่มี เดิน 2.4 กม. นะครับไป-กลับ อย่างน้อยมีร้านขายน้ำบริการก็ยังดี ส่วนอันสุดท้าย ทางเดินและป้ายบอกทาง ช่วงแรกก็เคลียร์ครับ แต่พอพ้นป่า มันจะเจอกับเส้นทางหลายเส้นที่มีต้นไม้บังอยู่ทำให้เรามองไม่เห็นข้างหน้า อาจทำให้สับสนครับ แย่สุดคือหลงป่า ผมหลงมาแล้ว เป็นคนสุดท้ายที่ลงมาจากชั้นบนสุด แต่ทางกลับไม่มีป้ายบอกแถมมีหลายเส้นทาง งงครับ ทั้งร้อนทั้งเหนื่อย ไม่มีใครเดาทางที่ถูกครับ นี่โชคดีเจอกลุ่มคนเล่นน้ำอยู่ชั้นล่างสุด เลยตามเสียงไปถึงเจอทางออก ไม่งั้นได้นอนในป่าครับ กรุณาทำป้ายบอกทางให้ชัดเจน และซ่อมแซมบันไดไม้บางส่วนด้วยครับ...

Seven Colors Waterfall (Chet Si Waterfall). One of many waterfalls here in Bueng Kan. The waterfalls has a 4 levels. All levels are beautiful with a unique scenery but the best one is the level 4. What are you waiting for come and visit Bueng Kan. Love the place so much. I recommend it to all the tourist out there who loves to hike and adventures. If you travel from Bueng Kan proper to the waterfalls it is almost 2 hours of travel and then you’re going to walk 1.5 km for about 20-30 minutes depending if you walk slowly or fast.
