I love this place. Open on Friday and Saturday. Starting around 4:30 in the afternoon. Many of the regular Street vendors from the city move here for Friday and Saturday. But there are a tremendous amount of additional vendors. There are even elephants. I have seen two. Sometimes two elephants at the same time. It's mostly the same stuff that you would see in any small town walking street. But this is on the Mekong River and quite attractive. You can also buy local manufactured products. For instance, I bought some handmade sandals. Everything is very affordable. You can see musicians, dancers, all nature of Thai foods, grilled foods, new and used clothing, lots to see at this place. There is even one vendor that sells a product that has recently become decriminalized. If you happen to be in this little city I recommend spending some time visiting this walking Street market. Plenty of wares for on show, packed in, here, promoted by a variety of friendly vendors - selling food (both fresh produce and ready to serve meals, plus local Thai/Isaan and western style cuisine), toys, souvenirs, ornaments, textiles and various bric-a-brac.
An easy walk in both directions, with the breeze of the water on the Mekong River 'wet' side to be enjoyed and on the road 'dry' side, there is a plethora of bars, restaurants, spas and professional services, too.
