Already visited Dream World 3 times in my life and it's still too hard to tell, if I'll ever fly back to Thailand to visit this park again in the near future. My very 1st visit to Dream World was in July 2001, when I was only 9 years old and yet... I was forced to visit the park without my mother who was just; discharged from King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital at the time and (according to doctor's advice) needed plenty of bed-rest (in the hotel room). My first visit to Dream World felt incomplete without her and looking at my father's friend's children having fun with their mothers, actually DID make me really upset. For my mother's sake, I had to make a 2nd visit to Dream World and was finally, able to bring her to the park in July 2007 when I was 15 and was visiting Thailand for the 3rd time. But that 2nd (my mother's 1st) visit to Dream World didn't go so well... all because my father embarrassed us there throughout 90% of the entire day ! He literally, kept me away from riding on the "Hurricane" and went to the ride all on his own !!! Dream World park authorities, why... would you guys allow, a grown man (who was in his mid to late 40s at the time) to ride on a ride meant for younger people !!??? It was extremely unfair of you guys to be so careless, regarding this issue. I had to wait for, another 3 years to make my 3rd visit to this park and that was... in November 2010, when I was 18 and was visiting Thailand for the 4th time. This time however, I was successful at riding on the "Hurricane" with others of my age group (despite my father's childish tantrums) and later... had the chance to enjoy a large bowl of shaved ice flavored with both strawberry and pineapple syrups. I can honestly say, that my 3rd visit to this park wasn't too perfect but still relatively better than the first 2 visits. I have dreams about coming back to Dream World someday but it's too hard to tell... when and how ? My very last visit to Thailand before this pandemic was in 2017 and it's still too hard to tell, when I'll ever be flying back to the Kingdom and if I ever do fly back there one day, I'll leave both my parents back home here in Bangladesh to avoid further embarrassment and getting unnecessarily judged (even for the smallest of things).
Reasons I still love Dream World to this day : This park is fit for people of all ages, it's easy to book for a whole-day package whether if you're going solo or with family, friends and/or spouse/significant other, rides are available for people of all ages between 3 to 50 with some rides mentioning a specific age group (kids under 6 for example; can't ride on the roller coaster), you can snap photos with the park's mascot(s), snap photos at the park's garden, snap photos close to the many whimsical statues and figures; choices are endless ! LIVE stunt show is there for those who are interested to see it. Food court and snack joints are always there, whether if it's for lunch or if you get hungry and are in desperate need to eat or drink something; love the fact, that there's now a new Indian food court in this park where you'll be able to find vegetarian options very easily. Let's not forget... this park has a little souvenir shop so that you can actually; carry your souvenir back home with you.
My father kept me away from carrying souvenirs from Dream World back home on all 3 of my visits to this park and thinking about it; even today... still continues to make me extremely upset.
There's only 1 thing Dream World needs to improve on : Toilets and/or restrooms need cleaning.
There's only 1 tourist attraction this park needs to get rid of for good : the new so-called "petting zoo" because... keeping animals in captivity only to give them "pets" and get your photos snapped with them; is counted as animal abuse. Let it be larger animals like elephants or smaller animals like baby chicks... keeping them captive is still... animal abuse at the end of the day !
These photos were from the 2nd visit to the park, back in 2007; when I was forced to wear heavy clothes on a hot...

Read moreCame here on a thursday and it was packed with rowdy students that made up 90% of the attendance. The underwhelming rides and students made for a disappointing experience.
Took most of the thrill rides. âThrillâ wouldâve been an overstatement. For its price, you get what you paid for. Considering the 800baht (400baht each way) grab rides i took, it isnât worth coming. Felt more like a state fair.
Lots of affordable food options in the park though. Saw there were pork over rice for 60baht.
Cable car is only one-way. You canât get a ride back to near the main entrance area. Would suggest heading straight to the end if youâre an adult and take all the bigger rides first.
Rides Review (chronologically)
Sky Coaster - A very bumpy ride. Felt like i was taking a train. Were there any drops? Lots of turns but nothing too extreme. Uses a traditional lift. Wouldâve enjoyed it more if it was a smoother ride. 1/5
Super Splash - The poncho (30baht) is useless. You will get wet. You literally go up the lift and drop once. The picture in the map tells it all. 3/5
Grand Canyon - Kinda fun. Lots of these rapids ride usually try not to get you wet with its water features but you WILL get wet as well. Not much drops. 4/5
Tornado - Took it twice. The first time, had my back facing all of the drops. Was still alright. But the second one was crazy. I believe they can control the direction the ride faces when it drops (?). Faced downwards during the drop almost 90% of the time for my second try. Felt nauseous and had a real bad headache after that. Told myself i will not take the raptor or hurricane. 4/5
Alien - Kids were shouting a lot. Lots of potential considering its use of darkness. The seats do not move. Guess the restraints are to prevent people from running about when the attraction is ongoing? 2/5
Giant House - Interesting. Proportions were odd. Small room, nothing to shout about. 2/5
Haunted Mansion - Nicely themed. Loved the idea. But wasnât scary at all. If Universal Studiosâ Halloween Horror Nights didnât faze you, this wouldnât either. 3/5
Viking - Good olâ viking ride. Does go quite high up. Okay airtime. 4/5
Black Hole Coaster - Queue was horrible because of the students. They are LOUD. Ride uses a traditional chain lift. Was rethinking my lifeâs decisions when i took the ride. There were no drops at all. Maybe a slight slope down where they made a feeble attempt to have some strobe lights atop. 1/5
tl;dr: BRACE YOURSELVES when the students are there. Wouldâve enjoyed myself more if they werenât. Lower your expectations. I set mine too high and got disappointed. Thatâs on me. Take the water rides first, the heat will dry you...
