The statue was built by the local farmers union as a guard to monitor their crops and bless them with prosperity. The ganesha holds sugarcane in his upper left hand, a mango in his lower left hand, a jackfruit in his upper right hand and banana in his lower right hand thus symbolising that he is the farmers god. The surrounding area is lush green fields of rice, vegetables and fruits. You will be mesmerized by the gigantic size of ganesha standing in the middle of the green fields. Tender coconuts from local farms with sweet coconut water and tender coconut flesh is available for just 10 THB which is amazing.
