Tat Ton Waterfall is part of Tat Ton National Park. Contrary to two not so nice recreational areas in Prachin Buri where I visited a month or two ago and which were in reality composed on the shores of the river built bamboo platforms which visitors could rent for their use, Tat Ton Waterfall is more natural area, even though there are good services there too. The waterfall and its surroundings, meaning the river shores, seem to be very popular - we visited there on the weekday afternoon, and there were quite much people, mostly near the waterfall - but many visitors had found more peaceful and idyllic place for their picnic by the river shores. Entrance fee to the waterfall - which is actually the fee to Tat Ton National Park - is for adults 40 baht (Thai people) or 200 baht (foreigners), and for children half of that (20/100 baht). Workers of the national park keep the waterfall area very clean and comfortable to visit, so the entrance fees are rather fair. The waterfall itself had its waters even though it's the hot season going in Thailand now - but actually at the rainy season Tat Ton Waterfall, I think, is at its best. To sum, Tat Ton Waterfall is a wonderful place to visit and take a half or whole day break in the...
Read moreYou know, I’m not get used to complain at difference between prices at entrance fees for foreigners and Thais, as it’s unbelievably huge almost everywhere in the country. As It's said, "It is what it is". However, in this particular case I just can’t help but write about it. The point is that the cost of entrance fee for foreigners to have a look at the waterfall is 200 baht versus 40 baht for Thais. Ok, as I already said it’s common practice, and I can understand when I pay 200 baht for the opportunity to wander around national park or whatever, but to pay two hundred baht just for watching as water falling down? It’s ridiculous, IMAO. I can’t say that the waterfall is ugly or something, but I can’t say it’s something spectacular, either. There is just nothing special. Especially, for the price 200 baht per person. To sum up, I would not recommend to visit this place for foreigners unless the price goes down someday (Who knows?) I reckon, that just watching for the photos is quite enough. Actually, here are the few photos...
Read moreTat Ton Waterfall is a beautiful and refreshing destination, perfect for nature lovers and anyone looking to escape the city heat. The waterfall itself is wide and powerful, surrounded by lush forest, making it an ideal spot for relaxing, picnicking, or even a quick swim in the cool water. The natural scenery is absolutely lovely, and the paths around the park are easy to walk, even for families with kids.
There are also clean restrooms, picnic areas, and food stalls nearby, which makes spending the whole day here very convenient. The park is generally well-kept and peaceful, especially on weekdays.
👉 However, I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the entrance fee for foreigners is 5 times higher than for Thai nationals. While I understand that tourist sites often charge different rates, such a large difference feels excessive and unfair.
Despite the pricing issue, Tat Ton Waterfall is definitely worth a visit — a relaxing, scenic spot that showcases the natural beauty...
