Wat Pasukato — Attraction in Chaiyaphum Province

Wat Pasukato is an idyll.

The Pasukato temple is not any Buddha statue park, there is not much - if anything - to see for spectacular monuments searching farang tourists who come and go with their buses to (be able to) see... nothing.

Rather, Wat Pasukato is like a forest temple with its trees and ponds, narrow roads and small cottages, it's a monk community, and it's a place for a layman to come to do her / his religious work.

It's difficult to describe Wat Pasukato; it must be felt, and what is felt is mostly indescribable.

When I went to Wat Pasukato, a local dog came to make acquaintance with me, and when I started to walk along roads deeper to the temple area, dog followed me, walked beside me, walked in front of me, sometimes near in front, sometimes further in front, and it stopped to wait for me. If I turned in the crossroads to the other direction as the dog had just gone, it came back to me. It walked with me almost whole my trip around Wat Pasukato.
