Oasis Sea World Visitors to Oasis Sea World have been intrigued and entertained by the Dolphin shows and other aquatic attractions since this park opened back in 1990, but there’s an equally fascinating story behind the creation of Thai Fantastic Dolphinarium.
It all started when Vichai Wattanapong, the Founder of Oasis Sea World heard that many dolphinswere being trapped in the nets used by local fishermen. Mr.vichai graciously offered to foster these dolphins and provide them with the care they needed. Eventually his small operation grew, and has now become part of Thailand’s official dolphin preservation and nursery center.
Dolphins in Thailand are critically endangered species, so the work being done by Mr.Vichai and his staff is tremendously important to the survival of these beautiful creatures. Oasis Sea World is as much about entertainment as it is about education, and the park is home to a series of amazing dolphin shows. At the park, the professional create their unique method of training by the close relationship with dolphins, including sign language and human voice communications, to put on aquatic shows that are simply amazing. Dolphin lovers will marvel at the talents of these clever marine mammals.

This place is not a sanctuary but more like a placement home. The dolphins have been bought from the fisheries since they were caught in a fish net.
At this place you will pay for the entrance fee which covers the dolphin show, and the extra activities need to buy an additional ticket for, such as taking a photo with dolphins, swimming with dolphins(1 hour), and feeding animals. Nevertheless, you have free access to cafes and restaurants too.
It is advised to check the show of the dolphin time, which they perform 3 times a day. The show is cute and I do not see any cruel practice. Yet, the swimming pool may be too small for the dolphins.
Swimming with dolphins is a kinda unique experience. The children up to 3 years are welcome with one guardian. You will learn how to play some tricks with them and swim with them. It is such an inclusive time. There are 2 dolphins which we take like 30 minutes each.
The feeding animals are a decent price here. You can feed fish, and dear.
The restaurant is very good and so cheap. If you order a set menu, it is more than enough and the seafood is just so...
Read moreIm not in favour of seeing wild animals in captivity..however we visited as the kids wanted to see the dolphins. Your own transport is needed as not on any public transport routes, on arrival the usual Thai price and foreigner price but that is to be expected in Thailand. The place is very run down and dirty the only real attraction being the dolphin show which was ok..the dolphins being kept in a 50m size swimming pool I actually wonder if this is what it was ...the show was quite good lasting about 45 minutes..and the trainers seemed to have affection for the dolphins but oh so sad to see then confined in such a small space...opportunity to have photos taken with the animals at a price of 800 baht for a set.. A restaurant is onsite which is nothing special...and some overpriced gift shops on the way out...that was it. It will make the kids happy thats about the only positive...
