Elephant Jungle Sanctuary Chiang Mai (Grand Canyon Branch) — Attraction in Chiang Mai Province

Amazing! We did the morning feeding and bath experience…and then we went to see the elephants! HA, JK! King and the rest of the staff gave us the real VIP treatment with what seemed to be a private tour as we were the only ones there! Getting up close to these animals and hearing their stories how they came to this place was unreal. When it’s time to eat, you really see their personalities and animal hierarchy come out! Some are greedy and practically grab food out of your hand, and others wait on the sidelines. We fed them gourds, and sugar cane (maybe), and then got to make their vitamin supplement balls to feed them as well. After breakfast it was time for bath! Be prepared to fully jump in the fountains with them and get wet! Finally we made paper out of their droppings. Yeah, that’s right poo paper! With grass in it and everything. Take some home and give it to unsuspecting friends before telling them how you got it! But the real star of the show was the naughty little baby (Sharron?)! So cute! Just like a human toddler jumping around and causing headaches for mom! Not to brag but the mom gave me a sloppy wet kiss on the cheek! We laughed and had so much fun all morning, but at the end of the day, this was a heartwarming and eye opening experience to spend time with these amazing souls that was well beyond worth it! A Wonderful Experience at the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary

She speaks excellent English, which made everything easy to follow and even more enjoyable.
