Interesting place but not really much to see but if you have more spare time you drop by. The thing is the ticket for not Thai is around 100B if I'm not wrong which i think it's a bit expensive for just one attraction. Actually they are currently in the process of open a few more attractions but for now it's not yet worth it. Another tip is about the shortcut to Doi Inthanon and you don't need to pay entrance fee to the mountain if you can get through there. But there is a catch here. The road is very off the road and there is no actual official infrastructure yet. But I can get in with a scooter. Yes a scooter but it took me more than 2h to get through. I could say it.was quite an adventure there since I stumble upon this road when I use Google map (it was a very bad move anyway). I was in the middle of the jungle without knowing of I could get through it. There was mobile signal but as I get closer to the mountain there was non. Luckily I found a villager and he told us there was a way out of here. Once you get out of here you will get to a point which is way pass the ticket boot. Not recommend using the road unless you know what...
Read moreIt is about 44-50km from the city center of Chiang Mai! And it is hard for you to call grab or bolt! It would be better for you to rent a one-day driver, the cost this time for us is 1200baht but i believe there are more cheaper options for round trip!
The entrance fee per person of Mae Wang national park is 100baht, for any car drive in cost 30 baht! We go on Monday not many people right there!
The famous spot in Mae Wang National park is Phachor Wonderland! It's kind of natural rocks for many many years! The sharps mostly caused by the rain in Thailand! It's absolutely breath-taking! You cannot believe that such a place like this located in Northern Thailand! Awesome!!!!
Even though it costs much for the transportation, it definitely worthwhile to come here! Try to experience personally instead of just looking at the pictures!
For time spend, we stay here for two hours only! It do not use much of your time! By the way, national park closes at 4:30pm! Would be great to arrive...
Read moreI went on a quick bamboo raft tour, hiked through a mountain village and swam at two waterfalls. The bamboo raft tour was fun and I was even allowed to steer the raft for a portion of the river. The water in the portion of the river I was in was very low so even when going through the rapids I never in water more than a foot or two deep. Walking through the mountain village was interesting as I got to see how people loved but there were lots of pigs tied to posts under the houses and they looked miserable and appeared scared of humans. The hike was really nice and somewhat challenging. The path at some points is very thin and to one side it's just a drop. Wear good shoes and pay attention to where you are stepping. The waterfalls are small but pretty and offer little pools to swim in. Overall a...
