The park comes in its full glory during the annual Chiangrai Flower Festival! This was a spectacular experience, and I loved every second of it. Please do visit this place during the festival, it's held every year around 16 Dec up until the first week of January. The park is decorated with beautiful flowers, lights, installations and laser shows. There are smoke/mist vaporizers spread across the park which add a "mystic" feel during the festival. The lights and sounds add a wonderful feeling —almost like a fairyland! All this for free entry—no tickets! Love it! There are food stalls and cloth stalls outside the flower festival, too, in case you're interested to do a shopping spree. I am grateful that my Grab driver told me about this festival as I had no idea before 😊

If you find yourself in the enchanting city of Chiang Rai, nestled in the picturesque landscapes of Thailand, Garden of Reeds is an absolute must-visit destination for nature lovers and flower enthusiasts. Offering breathtaking views of the river and an abundance of vibrant blossoms, this hidden gem is a serene oasis that will captivate your senses. One of the highlights of this magnificent garden is its location along the banks of a serene river. With uninterrupted views of the gently flowing water, you can't help but feel a deep sense of tranquility and peace. Whether you choose to stroll along the riverbank or find a cozy spot to sit and reflect, the soothing sounds of nature and the gentle breeze will instantly put you at ease.

We went on 4th January 25 at almost at the end of Chiang Rai Flower and Art Festival ,which annually organises from mid Dec to early Jan. The theme is different every year. The park was full of flower blooming and with low temp make it a must visit spot during the season. The art work changes every year and this year there supposed to be a spectacular light display in the evening. But we did not have time to visit it again at night. The entry is free. There is plenty of parking space and many food / local craft stalls on the way to the park. We visited the park during the non-event period before and it was still a good mid size park to visit for a stroll or just to relax.
