My concern is not about the ticketing inside the Sai Tai Mai, it is about the outside ticketing near the Amazon Cafe. And my post is for the awareness of all the travelers.
I booked a ticket to Surat Thani, Ban Ta Khun at 6:30 pm, yes! Direct to Ban Ta Khun said the guy outside the ticketing table. We even asked many times to verify and he said yes, telling us not to worry. He said we have to stop and have free food. I was very glad and relieved. I thought the bus was just there but to my surprise, we needed to walk with our heavy luggage. So stressing. When we get to the bus, there's no free water and no charging outlets. So Pissed, but I need to calm down. We waited to stop to avail the free food but sad to say we didn't. 😭 we arrived at Surat Thani, very hungry and thirsty.
I don't mind all of these, if the guy in the ticketing outside the Sai Tai Mai would have told us honestly! He's giving us false information! And we paid 1000 baht! We could have a 777 baht bus with free water, snacks, and free dinner.
I learned my lesson now. Never again booking a ticket outside the Sai Tai Mai. For travelers, please be aware! It is better to book your ticket inside the Sai Tai Mai. I am sad but still thankful I arrived at my destination, safe...
Read moreThis is the bus terminal where you take the bus to the south of Thailand. There are several different companies selling bus tickets to Phuket, Krabi, etc. Tickets are sold at the first level (2 levels up from ground level). Why like that? No one knows.. At the terminal you can find everything you need for the trip (phone chargers, powerbanks, clothes) or to spend your time while waiting (have your nails done or something or just drink coffee and eat stuff). The ticket shows what platform you should go to. There are signpost at the terminal pointing you in the right direction. There are waiting areas where you can be seated both in the terminal and at the...
Read more5 bahts just to use the outside toilet even if you bought long distance bus ticket? Better go inside the building Center, the toilets inside should be free. Avoid the large outside chicken rice stall beside the building beside the ticket counters. I took pity on because there is not a single customer and ordered the 70 baht plate which is the large but the portion is just like any 50 or 60 baht normal portion in Bangkok. I can accept the price but the chicken is tasteless and too dry, the sauce isn't good too. There is another large boat noodle stall and that's...
