On my holiday, I went for a walk and felt the natural atmosphere above Khao Din. Where there is an old temple built 10 years ago. I was impressed and a little excited when I explored the temple grounds which had several pavilions. Because inside those pavilions there is a large Buddha image to worship for good fortune. There was one where the door was locked because it still had valuables belonging to the temple. And another one has a large Buddha image named Luang Pu Dam, which looks stunningly beautiful with a variety of buildings and various sculptures. Something that makes me so excited that I get goosebumps... A small pavilion sits in a hidden corner. Which includes Grandfather Ruesi, Golden Boy, Mae Nang Kwak, Goddess Takhian Thong, a statue of King Rama V, and others that I can't remember. It is an open pavilion in front. There is a locker to store the offerings. As for the statues of all sacred things, they are arranged in a 3-tiered staircase pattern. There's also a strangely eerie vibe with a wig hidden on the side of the locker. The first moment I saw the wig was Spine tingles. I feel cold all over my body. Haha. I'm a little shocked. But it was something exciting and memorable. Because I am a person who cannot feel any kind of mysterious things... But I'm afraid of ghosts 😅 even though I've never seen one. I've never been haunted by a...
Read moreThe Temple here is beautiful but I must post a WARNING, WARNING WARNING. The dogs are very aggressive here, three or four came charging out of the Monks houses and I got attacked by one. The very kind lady at the Coffee shop cleaned and dressed my wound but I had to go to Hospital and have Rabies and Tetanus injections which are costing me about 5000 Baht. There is just no excuse to have Pit Bull/Ridgeback type dogs unleashed on these premises, it is a danger to the public. A six year old child could have been mauled to death by these dogs. It wasn't just one dog, about three or four came out in a very aggressive stance, snarling and growling, but one of these attacked me. The Monk who came to get the dog couldn't care less when I showed him my wound, just shrugged his shoulders and walked off. I don't think the Monks here take this issue seriously and sooner or later someone, perhaps a child, is going to get seriously injured. Maybe the Monks are using the dogs to protect this Temple, but there is no place for this on a site where the public are visiting. YOU SHOULD NOT visit this Site whilst these dogs remain free to roam these grounds. I escaped further injury by getting up onto the Temple wall. If I was staying longer in Thailand I would consider Legal Action against...
Read moreThinking, what kind of whiteness glowing beauty Wat Phon Prapa Nimit is, it was a big surprise to see that we were the only visitors of the temple. I think, the temple is, anyway, a part of Asian tourist tours - the temple's cafeteria implicates that. But why I say Asian? Because it is so rare to see farangs, that is, Western tourists in Thailand to be interested in anything else but sunbaths&shopping&eating - and visiting only those must-see attractions, only to show pictures at home. The magical white glow and the ostensible remoteness of the temple create a special atmosphere for Wat Phon Prapa Nimit - which you have to feel by yourself, it's too difficult to describe with my description skills 😄 Wat Phon Prapa Nimit belongs to...
