Grand Canyon in Chonburi is a spectacular view and has a good and quiet atmosphere. Only about 1.5 hours from Bangkok, Chonburi is a totally doable day trip. This beautiful coastline city is about an hour north of Pattaya. It is best to either rent a car, or hire a driver for the day. If you are in the area already, you could just rent a motorbike. This spot is hard to get to and off the beaten path from public transportation hidden, so you will need your own set of wheels or a driver to get you there. There are two parking lots. When you turn left off the main road, just past the train tracks, you will come to two dirt roads, which both claim to lead to the vista. If you take the road on the right, you will come to a large lot, which we think is free. We wouldn’t know because we picked the road on the left. This road leads you up to a small lot run by the locals. They have a shop, a restaurant, and a bathroom. At this lot, there is a 20 baht parking fee. From here, there is no clear signage. Just get out of your car, walk through their shop to the left of the first view of the canyon, and you will find the path around to the best viewing locations. It's panoramic view is perfect for family...

Yeah, the reviews are right. if you go straight through the little shack where two women are selling drinks, you can walk down that stretch for free and take pictures. It's very scenic. If you want to go where the railings are to take pictures, they'll ask for 20 baht. which isn't much so I didn't mind. I couldn't find any trails or anything like that which is a shame because I think it'd be a lovely hike. i wanted to go see what that waterfall was about though and it was a place called LOF LAND - some VR experience for 300 baht. their cafe is on the cliff edge and really pretty (it's that little green patch of grass with the G waterfall) but you have to buy a ticket for the VR to enter which is a shame. one of those two women at the shack asked for 50 baht to drive me to LOF LAND because it was apparently far from the grand canyon (I don't think it was, maybe a 15 minute walk). So bring your own car or bike if you can lol. I can definitely recommend the grand canyon coffee shop though. And the grand canyon. It's beautiful enough to just visit and...

A hidden gem away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city of Chonburi. After a railroad track crossing you would be welcomed to a picturesque scenic location to capture your photographic poses with a parking fee of 20 Baht. An open air surrounding and stay safe - carry your sunscreens UV protection creams, sunglasses and hats coz it sizzling hot around the concrete spot during the day. Visiting the place in the early morning and late afternoon would be a great idea. Be careful and especially with kids as the safety barrier looks scary. The crater canyon is a unused stone quarry that reflects exploitation of the natural resources that has been left void with a huge hole holding turquoise water. Avoid standing on the railway track in the area. A couple of coffee shacks help to clench thirsty palette with beverages and ice creams. Pay toilet facilities for 5 Baht. Navigate the rough narrow path by private car and bikes. Nothing much to do around the place and not far from this location sits a Buddhist temple which is worth exploring.

Stunning view, Mini picnic on the grass I suppose you could enjoy the view from the very top but it's definitely worth getting a ticket in my opinion. The ticket (300baht) includes one free drink from a cafe and you'll enjoy having a closer look around the cliff and then sitting on the grass where the cozy breeze constantly blows through. Another thing I felt the necessity to share. If you consider visiting there with your little kids, please make sure to keep your both eyes on them at all times. The grass area is huge enough to run around and unfortunately, there is no safety fence. Overall, my girlfriend and I enjoyed the whole experience. We recommend you to visit there around sunset time, though the cafe closes at 5!
