I liked it. I knew it would be a challenge for my knee so I took a cane to help. the entry has a attractive garden worth a quick visit and photos, past the entry is the prayer bridge, very colorful and symbolic and some views. if you don't want to walk or climb much. after entry take the slope down prior to the prayer bridge. follow along under the bridge at the end are stairs that you can walk up to the skywalk. about 300 steps, most about 6 inches and a concrete handrail. can take the same stairs back down. if you go the longer route take the prayer bridge at the end is a choice steep stairs many steps over 8 inches or as I did a paved path to the left that circled toward the top. not hard but not easy. several people stopped ir sat for a break at that stage there are several statues and a viewpoint. from there a stair moderate steep with handrail about 200 steps to the small temple on top. pleasant temple, nice view, good breeze and popular resting area. another stairs moderate steep down with handrail about 500 steps. several interesting twisted trees on the stairs. at the bottom by a ticket at the small refreshment area including restrooms. the skywalk you have to put cloth booties over your shoes. it is a nice photo opportunity. it is super stable solid pillars and wide like a road. glass walls on the bottom and sides. so hard to lose anything dropped. it really is not very high and as it is not a cable suspension it...
Read moreIf you're a nature lover and fond of trekking it's good for you folks. It's nice to experience this kind of nature to unwind from your hectic schedules from work if you're in the city. Just a few reminders friends before you come here, please wear comfortable clothing as much as possible a pair of jeans/shorts+light shirt, sneakers and a hat/cap, umbrella if you have too for you will climb up a steep stairs and it's quite humid. If you go on a sunny day a little sunblock will do as well to protect you from the sun damage. A queue in the ticket(Baht 40) booth is too long maybe because this place is newly open to the public(05 December 2020). I suggest don't bring your little ones or your grannies in climbing upstairs, they can just relax downstairs. But if they want to really experience what's uphill there are benches along the way where you can sit and relax for a bit. Have a great trekking folks and enjoy the beautiful scenic...
Read moreIt was the best trip ever to this temple. It was amazing to walk the long way up to the mountain and see the biggest Buddha Sothorn where it was not finished rebuilding, also the place around.
Another amazing thing you will have to visit is a skywalk !!
Most people including me walked up there with the ribbon. We believe that if we made a wish and wrote our name on the ribbon then the way up to the chapel you can tie the ribbon along the way.
Some people tied the ribbon around the road while it was on the bridge, tree or bamboo tree but I chose to tie around the pillar
Please be prepared to walk up and down this mountain due to it being a very long pathway then stairs just like you climb up the mountain. Sneakers are required and the strength of your health.
I was in pain for 4 days especially on my legs and caft .. 😂 😂
