Ao Bang Son — Attraction in Chumphon Province

Went there several times. The beach is beautifully rare find and quiet. But the fact that it’s located in a local’s living area is might not quite suitable for foreigners tourists. Villagers could be out for fishing, burning coconuts outdoor, camping ect anytime. A lot of friendly stray dogs. No facilities for tourists. Unless you like to explore it that way. It’s could be a kind of new experience too. Public road for a short distance and dead end....

As you can see from the photos not many using the beach. Main reason I believe is due to the lack of facilities (restaurants, shops, toilets, showers etc), well that I could find. Also with the Bang Son river flowing into the Bay my experience is that the water is never clear. If you are looking for a place to swim with cleaner water I would suggest you try Thung Sang Beach which is 20km north of Ao Bang Son Beach, still on the 4004...
