It's truly heartbreaking to see a once-magnificent temple in ruins due to neglect. When we visited, there were no tourists in sight, adding to the eerie silence. Stray dogs, which seemed more like temple guardians, roamed freely, their presence the only sign of life in this forsaken place. The temple's neglected state, with its crumbling walls and overgrown vegetation, paints a picture of forgotten history. This desolation is poignant, hinting at the temple's past glory and the stark contrast to its current state of abandonment.

A nice rural temple. Cave was closed and the bat's had gone, but their is a troop of leaf monkeys that comes down every afternoon between 3 and 4pm. Great to get so close to these placid animals.

เป็นถิ่นของค่างแว่นๆเยอะมากแต่ถ้าจะมาดูก็จะเจอเฉพาะตอนที่ค่างแว่นมาหาอาหารกินที่วัดเท่านั้น ไม่ได้อยู่ที่วัดตลอดเวลานะครับ จุดไฮไลท์ที่สำคัญอีกอย่างคือบ่อน้ำศักดิ์สิทธิ์ครับ เป็นบ่อน้ำศักดิ์สิทธิ์ประจำจังหวัดชุมพร บ่อน้ำนี้มีความสำคัญตรงที่เมื่อมีพระราชพิธีสำคัญก็จะนำน้ำจากที่นี้ไปใช้ในพระราชพิธีด้วย ตัวออย่างล่าสุดก็คือพิธีสถาปนา ร.10 ที่ได้มีพิธีสรงน้ำก็จะมีน้ำจากบ่อน้ำนี้ไปใช้ร่วมในพิธีด้วย
