If you love to climb. This is the one. It's a climb baby climb area. The scenery is beautiful and unique. The history and story telling art work is amazing. You start off at the bottom of the wat, you walk up the stairs to reach the entrance of the dragon mouth. (Your not there yet.) Walk up some more flight of stairs inside of the dragon toward the tail. When you get to the tail. (Your not there yet, take a breather and walk up some more till you get to an opening of a cave) The cave is very nice, walk around it and take a rest, then.. correct, walk up some metal stairs till you reach one of the top rest area and... not quite but almost there, you walk up the concrete steps. It does have rails to hold onto while climbing. There is another cave to climb down into closer to the top. Its amazing. You shouldn't miss out on that part. I'd continue on to the top first then on the way down just do a quick stop into the cave on the side. There is only 2 bathroom up there one at the very top, also no one selling anything so bring your own WATER up with you. When you reach the top of mountain it is...

The way up to the Heavenly Dragon Cave starts at the temple Wat Ban Tham, where you climb many steps before you reach the cave. The cave has large dimensions, and has an opening at the top of the room through which some light enters. After the visit to the cave, the tour begins further up to the top of the hill, which has a climb of just under two kilometers from the temple at the parking lot to the highest point.

The way up consists of forest, mountains and steps, with a couple of lookout points and a toilet, which is relatively easy to climb. But at the top, the mountain is sharp for the legs, so good shoes or boots are recommended.

Before the cave, on the left side on the way up is the foundation of a cable lift which is no longer in use, and the end station is just below the top as shown in the picture. A nice walk in the middle of the day where it got a bit hot on the way up, so water is recommended to take with you on the trip.

A large parking space is available in front...

Very beautiful cave and viewpoint! Entering the cave requires some good cardio as the stairs are quite long, and in the end could get pretty steep. As soon as you enter the dragon shaped tunnel, the stairs are pretty steep. Eventually you'll reach the cave, which has a huge Buddha image and provides some nice views, especially with the sunlight coming through the ceiling. You can leave it there or choose to climb to the top of the hill. I did so, and had to go up some narrow staircase, just to pop up somewhere in the hills. From there, you'll have to go on a long pathway up hill to reach the top. It is pretty long and steep, so be prepared! Luckily there are some resting spots along the way, but no water is being sold, so bring your own bottle, trust me, you need it! On top of the hill there's a beautiful pagoda and the nicest view of the area and the river nearby! Going back down was much...
