Tham Luang Pha Wiang — Attraction in Lamphun Province

The most impressive cave I've seen in Thailand, more so than the Chiang Dao cave or Lod Cave of Pai. This cave features a natural rock arch where light streams in from the forest. The cave is well lit, however there are caverns deeper in which are unlit and untouched and require at least a phone camera to explore. Very cool cave - definitely worth a visit. Large and well lit for a large portion of the cave. (make sure to have 10 baht coins to feed the electric meter inside.) Several buddah images inside and lots of bats - especially the further you go into the cave. It also gets quite steamy the further in you go. Make sure to donate to the small temple at the bottom. It is quite poor and is responsible for the upkeep...

Very impressive. The cave is long and very beautiful. There are many rooms inside, though it was quite dark. Lots of bats, luckily they do no harm.

You'll see a very nice mountain view at the entrance of the cave.

The 100 meters long walking path up to the cave is currently partly damaged, steep and slippery. Be sure to confirm with the monk in the small temple at the base...
