The Sun Water Park — Attraction in Lamphun Province

It is easy to get here from Chiang Mai. Driving from Mae Hia on the highway and then a few minutes on rd 2001.

During the pandemic they have a promotion in June 2021, charge only 40 baht on weekdays. 100 baht on weekends. There is a ghostly, not functioning amusement park fronting the whole area. So it looks abandoned at first sight. But you will be greated by some friendly staff that shows you the way to the waterpark. The waterpark functions well. Nice clear water, not very deep. And some really fast slides, in concrete. But it works. You have like an island in the middle of the area with chairs and tables. And easy dishes, papaya salad, beer can be ordered from one of the stalls outside. They also rent out floaties for 20-50 baht. Well worth the price indeed. Chairs and tables are old, need to be replaced when they get money to invest here again. Overall a great outing...

The water park is showing its age, the facilities are basic, and the exterior and immediate surrounding could be used as a backdrop for a post apocalyptic movie. This said, entry is 60bht and on a hot day its a great spot to cool down and splash about. There are two larger (but not big) slides, a smaller one for young children and a separate toddler pool with mushrooms and more slides. There is shaded seating and pleasant planting around the pool. สภาพด้านหน้าอาจเก่าและรกร้างไม่ต้องตกใจครับ ตรงสวนน้ำเขามีการปรับปรุ่งเรื่อยๆ และทำใหม่ให้สวยและน่าเล่นครับ เมื่อก่อนมีร้านค้ามากมาย เครื่องเล่นโคตรเยอะชิงช้าสวรร รถบั้ม เรือเฮริเคน รถไฟเหาะ อื่นๆอีกเพียบ แต่พิษเศรษฐกิจ บวกกับมีเรื่องราวนิดหน่อย เลยทำให้โซนด้านหน้าปิดตัวลง เหลือไว้แต่โซนสวนน้ำ ร้านค้าน้ำดื่มมีน้อย เเต่พอมีให้สั่งต้องรออาหาร15-30 นาทีแล้วแต่จำนวนคน มีห้องน้ำเยอะ แยกเป็นสองฝั่งืเพียงพอต่อนักท่องเที่ยว ล้านจอดรถเยอะ -โซนสวนน้ำมีโซนตื้นของเด็กเล็ก เเละโซนน้ำลึกของผู้ใหญ่ มีสไลด์เดอร์ 2 ขนาด สำหรับผู้ใหญ่เด็กโต และอันเล็กโซนน้ำตื่นของเด็กเล็ก โซนสวนน้ำโอเคเเบะน่าเล่นมาก เสียดายบรรยากาศเมื่อก่อน แตกต่างจากเมื่อก่อนมาก แต่ถ้านับเฉพาะโซนสวนน้ำสวยเลยครับ...
