An adventure to The Pam Bok Waterfall is one of the best things to do when exploring the mountainous region of Pai. Here is the complete guide of Pam Bok Waterfall to help you plan your trip! Pambok Waterfall is 9km south-west of Pai on the same road that leads out to the Bamboo Bridge and Pai Land Split. It is approximately a 20-minute drive to Pambok Waterfall from the centre of Pai.
The best way to get around Pai is on a scooter to explore all four corners of the region. Scooters can be rented for a little as 150 Baht per day from one of the many rental stores in the centre of Pai. Alternatively, some accommodations have scooter rentals available for around the same price. A money deposit or passport is generally required for insurance purposes.
If you aren’t confident with riding a scooter, you can hail a songthaew (pick-up truck with bench seats) to get from A to B. Make sure to agree on a price with the driver first before jumping...
Read moreThey’ve got this so badly wrong! There is a 200thb charge to enter. To be clear this is for a pass that gives you one day access to a number of attractions in the area. You can’t buy a ticket purely to go to the falls. It’s therefore 200thb or you don’t get to see them, even if it’s the only place you visit on their list. We sat by the entrance for about 30 mins researching the other sites to see if they were worth visiting. In that time at least 10 people/couples approach and we’re given the 200thb news. As you’d expect, most were young ‘backpackers’, who on being told how much drove off. Only one middle aged couple actually went in and even then begrudgingly. To whoever has put this in place, you really are missing a trick. Even if you charged 30thb you would have made an extra 600thb in the short time we were there. Maybe offer both the multi day pass and the single entry? Such a shame, it smacks of naive greed over good...
Read moreA complete rip off at 400bhat per adult and 200bhat per child. The government should look into this park charging absurd prices. The most insulting thing is that you don't even see any improvements nor do you know where the money is going.
I've been coming to Pai since 2017 but will probably not return anymore because it's ridiculous to think tourists will pay such a high price for only one attraction. Yes, you can use the ticket for other attractions but only if you do so in one day. At least make the tickets usable for a couple of days.
In short, just typical greedy people trying to get as much money as possible. Won't be long before Pai is completely forgotten about; without access to its beautiful nature, hot springs and waterfalls, there really...
