First of all let's get this one clear, this should not be called a waterfall because there is no water fall from any place at all in the first place. More like water flow or a stream of water to be exact. One drawback for those who get there by motorbike, you need to walk about 1.8 km to get to the starting point of the stream while car driver can drive through all the way in and out. That's a bummer and a little unfair if I have to say when you walk nearly 2km just to get your expectation crushed at the end of the stream. But one good thing that I need to say is that the water feel so good. When you dip your body into the cold soothing water, all the tiresome get washed away so that you can regain some strength back to walk another 2km back to your parking place before you feel exhausted again 😆. I can't recall if there are any food stores inside the stream area. I don't think they have them. You can only find them at the entrance area. Mostly people go there in group or family with their own food and mats. That's it! I'd like to confess one thing, the thing is that I got cheated by the photos in the Google map. Thought it was a real nice waterfall but it turns out that it's not. Checked again and I found another water called Sarika seems to be a much better place but I reckon there is not much to expect from that place either except there is a real...
Read moreI haven't been to Wang Takrai for a long time, but my parents like to say that they used to come when I was a baby, but I wanted to try it. That day, I went with my family, about 5 people, and the cost was 150 baht per car.
But if you go with more than 8 people, there may be an additional charge of 20 baht per person.
That day I went in November. The weather was considered not very hot and the atmosphere was very shady. There weren't many people using it. On the day I went, the water in the waterfall was of a moderate amount and was easy to play with.
You may have to look for the way down to the waterfall by observing because there is no neat step down. It is a very natural staircase so you may need to be careful when walking as there is moss growing there. It's full of rocks.
Unfortunately, that day I didn't prepare any clothes to go swimming in the waterfall. I could only look at the water in the waterfall, which...
Read moreAs we were visiting Nakhon Nayok, we mustn't forget to at least go to a waterfall! We visited this one because my mum used to come when she was younger, so we went to revisit and she did say a lot has changed. When you enter there is a fee of 150 baht to enter. Once in, there is a 4km route for cars. There are toilets (pay 5 baht fee, with showers), food kiosks and even accommodation (which I didn't know of, you may want to have a look on websites). They offer black float rentals in multiple spots, there are shops where you can buy clothing too.
We visited on a weekday, which is why it wasn't busy. But I can imagine on weekend when people come pouring in, it must be livelier and fun!
They have many small destinations inside for pictures, looks like a fun place for the whole...
