This zoo is a nice vacation spot especially for a family with young children who enjoy nature. The zoo is nicely spread out. If you love walking, it is enjoyable on foot, but with small children, you may want to use a stroller, or rent a bicycle to help you get around (from 20-70 bhat per bike depending on the type of bike you choose.) The zoo tram is another good option for getting around. It costs 20 bhat or less per person. They also have gulf carts you can rent, but those are 300 bhat per hour.
The seal show is enjoyable. It shows at 11 am and 2 pm. The trainers work very well with the animals. They also show a few others to start out. My kids (ages 3 and 5) both love the show!
If you are interested in learning about the snakes of the area, there is a nice display in air conditioning with many area snakes. It is a nice reprieve from the heat. These are right across from the seal show.
Monkeys are in natural areas with motes separating them from passers by. It is a nice, more natural setting.
There are also the normal animals at the zoo, lions, tigers, sun bears, giraffes, elephants, hippos, crocodile and kangaroos to name a few.
If you come in early July, you may be able to find some...

Price of the tickets is more expensive for foreigners . We are in 2018 not in 1930.
The waterpark is great for kids but walking 1 KM without sandals is a joke. I understand if you enter in a shop you might remove your shoes but the waterpark is big and walking without anythings in feet shouldnt be accepted.
The elephant was skinny. We saw him looking for food but he was not able to find anything to eat.
We rented a bike tandem but the bike is old and there is a lot of hills. So we returned the bike after 20 mins only instead of 2 hours we paid, we wanted to rent a golf cart instead . They refused to give the money back or credit us. They said they were not forced by law to give the money back. I feel offended even if its a small amount, Greedy owner who want to take as much money as possible from pregnant...
Read moreThe zoo has a good location and a good offer so far. However, as usual in Thailand, there is once again a lot of xenophobia: Until the beginning of October, we had an adult entrance fee of 100 baht and 150 baht for foreigners. Now the price has been raised to 130 baht for Thais and 350 baht for foreigners!!!!. That is an extremely brazen increase. Once again, I cannot call Thailand a hospitable country. For such high prices, some of the enclosures are empty and not marked accordingly, and the glass panes are so dirty that you can hardly see anything.... so what am I paying admission for? I'm also annoyed that money is always charged for other little things in the zoo, like animal food or an animal show. Otherwise, you can enjoy looking at the variety of...
