Sunday evening
not much crowd, stalls 70% opened
Far and disappointing, not the cheapest night market
1 of the stall not honest... saw us and removed the $100 price tag and quote us $200 instead...
Owl night market much better.
Went on a Monday
reached 9.30pm some shop not open some shop packing up
shop till 11pm still have some shop open a bar with band still happening.
it's relatively far from the usual night market but worth a visit in my opinion as I managed to see items that I didn't see elsewhere and most items are also cheaper
maybe elsewhere the unique items already bought by others hence I didn't see it
would suggest to go earlier but I'm not sure because it's Monday so some shop not open or they closed earlier
stay near platinum mall took a cab there, $224, toll $105 took a cab back, $241, toll $105 total: $675
$3 toilet per pax, per entry, at the carpark area
But also saved alot based on the items I bought
$80 rare unicorn wire protector (retail $100-$150, save $20-$70)
$30 squishy w net (retail $50-$100, save $20-$70)
$400 rare arty abstract tee dri-fit X4 (retail $150-$350, save $200-$1,000)
$360 XXL boxer vespa, newspaper, maths, catus X4 (retail $100-$120 each, save $80-$160)
$200 star, eevee, cookie monster cable protector (retail $100-$150 each, save $100-$250)
$260 long vintage dress (retail $390-$790 or up, save $130-$530)
$200 handphone cover X2 (retail $150-$200 each, save $100-$200)
Estimated total savings: $650 to $2,230+/-
Above retail prices are based on the ones I came across for similar items so may differ from the ones you see but hope can provide a rough gauge for you
Conclusion: although I paid $600+ for transport to and fro, but overall based on the items I bought also save $600+ and up
Hence, it's "worth" a visit if you have no other night market to go and don't mind the transport cost and time which is approx 30mins without jam via highway
There are taxi there, but I managed to book a grab via the app and it was accepted relatively fast, and the car was nearby...

Comment in 2021 : I wondered why I'd given this place the average score two years ago, but now looking at the state of the market (or what it is becoming) I can finally say that I was dead right on the money.
Mali market was at best a gathering place for drinkers despite many other things present. There were food, toys and unique stalls for everyone to enjoy, only to be overshadowed by the presence of pubs and bars right at the front of it. Adding salt to the injury inflicted by Covid-19 was the lack of improvement when a certain nearby market had been running rounds of renovations to prepare for change in customer behavior. Mali (in personification) just sat there and did nothing until it became obviously deserted.
You could say this market was the king in Muangthong but no king rules forever. Every day I rode through the place and see it slowly dying, I felt like this was just nature doing its thing. However in Mali's case, I thought it was just plain disgusting, not even a slightly...
Read moreThe concept was very good. It is a night market only open to action in the evening.
I like the variety of products and services offered. I was told at the beginning, the market was doing very well. Then the excitement died down. Many shops left as the crowd reduced in size. Many empty shops need to be filled.
We went on Sunday night which was a slow night, many shops have signs up as close. So I can't say what the Friday and sat night crowd would be like. Also I was told the market is more crowded after 10 pm for late night actions. We only stay till around 8pm.
Overall it wasn't a bad visit due to variety of foods offered. We had a good meal at...
