I've never seen water so clear and blue in my life. I highly recommend renting one of the scuba masks available and really looking under the surface, constant schools of vibrant fish pass by. If you swim out far enough you can see beds of sea urchins, the occasional fleeting octopus, and many more animals in their natural state. The staff working along the beach are all incredibly friendly, and not at all pushy. The street dogs are the sweetest I've met, some opting for comfort and strokes instead of food.
