A short but steep walk up to this 18th Century pagoda is a must do in Phang-nga. The cooling breeze is wonderful and we found it a peaceful place to have a picnic. The sounds of the Songkran celebrations filtered up through the trees. Walking back to our accommodation we received many welcome and refreshing soakings from the local children (and...

Went to the monument in the early evening, fun! Overall it's deserted, not very well maintained with bad lighting and uneven stairs. But, that is part of the charm, it's not overrun by tourists, no one charges admission, the view is great, the solitude is wonderful and the feeling of being around something old and somewhat mysterious is...

It’s said a Buddhist Stupa Temple made from brick and mortar at the late Ayuthaya and Bangkok era of the 18./19. century. Stairs are nice with an arch to go through. Interestingly a few meters beside the main road uphill with a nice view overlooking the valley. People bring sacrifices once in a while but green is growing out of the...
