This park is known for the Ton Chongfa waterfalls, which are beautiful, but it requires some tough hiking to see all 5 falls. I would definitely recommend wearing good hiking shoes or closed toed hiking sandals as the trails are very rough at the end of the main trail to access the falls. The first kilometer or so of the trail is well developed and easy to hike, and you can see the first waterfall that is easy to access just off the trail. At the start of the trail to the last 4 falls, there is a difficult stream crossing with large rocks, and a rope across to help you. You may have to wade across. It may be easier to do in the dry season, though. The trails between the last 4 falls are steep, rocky, and often very muddy, so be prepared. It will take you at least 2 hours or more to hike to all of the falls and back to the entrance, so take some water with you. I would definitely not recommend taking children on the rough trails, as it is very easy to get injured from a slip or fall. The entrance fee is 100 baht per person, and the only parking available is on the street next to the entrance. We very much enjoyed seeing all of the falls, and if you are in the mood for a rough hike, then be sure to see...

Khao Lak National Park is one of the most beautiful and scenic locations in Thailand. The park is home to amazing limestone cliffs, numerous waterfalls and sandy beaches perfect for snorkeling. The national park also offers great views of the Andaman Sea, beaches and lush forest-covered mountain ranges. It's a perfect spot for nature lovers who want to appreciate the tranquility of the Thai landscape.

The park has a wide range of activities to offer, such as swimming, kayaking, jungle trekking, waterfall sightseeing and much more. There are also plenty of camping sites in the park for those who want to stay at night.

Khao Lak National Park is a great choice for anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in the Thai jungle. Its stunning views and plethora of activities make it a great destination for family and friends. The park is a great spot for bird watching and discovering rare species as well. With its well-maintained trails and beautiful natural settings, Khao Lak National Park is a must-visit place to explore the wonders...

We walked from our accommodation on Taonga beach to the Small Sandy Beach entrance. We hadn't done our research on entrance price and were charged what we later found out to be double the national park fee. We appreciated the gatekeepers entrepreneurial approach, haha. We hiked down to the beach, which was picturesque and well signposted about jellyfish/stinger dangers for this time of year. This meant we couldn't swim, but it was nonetheless worth visiting. We then followed the track along the coastline and exited from the Khao Lak side/main entrance side. We are very fit, and found the trail fairly easy but could see that the terrain in places would be challenging if you experience mobility/fitness issues. We spotted a beautiful Asian monitor, heard lots of birdsong, loved the canopy of green and the ocean vista. Highly recommend this...

1 star because of the discriminatory ticket pricing. To avoid the ticket checkpoint, walk to the end of nang thong beach and take the stairs up to baan krating resort, follow the path along the resort past a bunch of rooms until you get to room AC4. At ac4 go down the steps to the sea and then just walk along the rocks for 2 minutes/100 metres. You will emerge inside the national park at the campground. From there you can keep walking to get to the nature trail etc. Presumably the resort is private property but i didnt have any problems walking through. You could also just walk completely along the rocks from the beach but ideally the tide would be out to try that so you could walk mostly along the sand, because it'd be about 400 metres across rocks and quite slow going. See my photos for directions.
