No signs of jellyfish, water was clean, we swam, enjoyed a fruit drink from the pleasant lady in a booth, had a good meal at the restaurant. Toilets and a foot washing station, no operational shower. Tented west of there on a concrete pad while locals and fishermen streamed by at dusk then middle of night still leaving us feeling safe and welcomed. Monkey tracks found nearby and their sounds heard but no visits by them. Rode our touring bicycles with 29er tires ( x1.75) on the dirt sea-side road with absolutely no problem. Read moreLovely white sandy beach. Long stretch no rocks. It is tree lined so there is plenty of shade. The water is shallow so it would be safe for children too. There are toilet facilities. There is a stand selling drinks, snacks and I think she may even cook simple food (saw someone getting fried rice)
You get there either via the North of the island on paved Road or from the middle on a dirt road (along the coast). We took the birt road on a small scooter. Ended up pushing the bike for part of the ride. Road very bed...
