อุทยานแห่งชาติเขาปู่-เขาย่า อุทยานแห่งชาติเขาปู่-เขาย่า ตั้งชื่อตามภูเขาที่อยู่ในเขตอุทยานแห่งชาติ ซึ่งเป็นที่รู้จักของผู้คนในจังหวัดพัทลุง โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่ง “เขาปู่” ซึ่งถือว่าเป็นภูเขาอันศักดิ์สิทธิ์ เป็นที่สิงสถิตของดวงวิญญาณ “ตาปู่” เป็นเทพกึ่งคนธรรพ์ ซึ่งเป็นที่นับถือเคารพกราบไหว้ของชาวตำบลเขาปู่และประชาชนทั่วไป อุทยานแห่งชาติเขาปู่-เขาย่ามีพื้นที่ครอบคลุมอยู่ในท้องที่อำเภอทุ่งสง อำเภอชะอวด จังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช อำเภอรัษฎา อำเภอห้วยยอด อำเภอเมือง อำเภอนาโยง จังหวัดตรัง และกิ่งอำเภอศรีนครินทร์ อำเภอศรีบรรพต อำเภอป่าพะยอม อำเภอกงหลา จังหวัดพัทลุง ตั้งอยู่ในบริเวณเทือกเขาบรรทัด สลับซับซ้อนปกคลุมด้วยป่าดงดิบชื้นเขียวสะพรั่งทุกฤดูกาล จนได้รับสมญานามว่า “ป่าพรหมจรรย์” ในตอนกลางของพื้นที่เป็นที่ราบ ซึ่งมีบ้านพักแบบทาร์ซานสร้างเรียงรายอยู่ตามริมห้วยธาร นับเป็นเอกลักษณ์ของอุทยานแห่งชาติเขาปู่ - เขาย่า รวมเนื้อที่ทั้งหมดประมาณ 433,750 ไร่ หรือ 694 ตารางกิโลเมตร Khao Pu-Khao Ya National Park. Khao Pu-Khao Ya National Park named accordingly a mountain in the national park, which is known to people in Phatthalung especially "Khao Pu", which is considered a sacred mountain. It is the dwelling place of the soul. "Grandfather" is a semi-deity, which is respected by the people of Khao Pu Sub-District and the general public. Khao Pu-Khao Ya National Park covers areas in Thung Song District, Cha Uat District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, Ratsada District, Huai Yot District, Mueang District, Na Yong District, Trang, and Srinakarin Sub-District. Sibanphot District Pa Phayom District, Kong La District, Phatthalung Province located in the Banthat Mountain Range covered with evergreen rainforest in every season known as "Brahma Chan Forest". In the middle of the area is plain, which have Tarzan-style houses lined up along the creek. I didn’t go inside the main park area but explored the surroundings on my motorcycle, and it was a great off-road adventure! The roads winding through the lush jungle offered stunning views and a real sense of nature. The area is peaceful, with fresh air and a rich green landscape, making it perfect for a relaxing ride. I didn’t go inside the main park area but explored the surroundings on my motorcycle, and it was a great off-road adventure! The roads winding through the lush jungle offered stunning views and a real sense of nature. The area is peaceful, with fresh air and a rich green landscape, making it perfect for a relaxing ride. If you enjoy exploring off the beaten path, this is definitely a nice place to visit!
