We booked our tuktuk transport to pick us up from our hotel at 5.30am to catch the sunrise but by the time we arrived (half an hour ride) the sun had already risen and we missed the dramatic dawn display. We booked a boat with the lady boss for an hour boat ride for the 4 of us. She told us that it will cost 550 baht (gone up from 450 baht!). The lady boss then took our individual pictures while we were sitting on the boat before we departed and we were wondering whether it was for insurance for payment.:) The boat speared through the fields of water Lily plants and we excitedly clicked away at the abundant and predominantly red lilies and also managed to catch a number of birds balancing delicately on the green water plants. The boatman made a wide loop round the lake to visit the various lily and lotus patches but I think half an hour would have been sufficientfor the trip. When we returned back to shore, we found our individual pictures printed and framed for our purchase. We politely declined and they seemed...

I stayed in Thale Noi for one night on my bicycle tour just to tour the lake at sunrise and sooo I'm glad that I did it. On the day I arrived, I went to the boat tour place opposite the hotel where I was staying, and with the help of Google translate, I agreed with the authorized person at a very affordable price for a 1-hour lake tour at 6 am the next morning. The old uncle who took me around the next morning did the tour for about 1.5 hours and did not ask for any additional fee. It was a very unforgettable experience. Passing through the water lilies in the lake that reflects like a mirror with the first lights of the day, seeing birds that I have never seen before in their natural habitat, and the best part is boating around the water buffalos swimming in the middle of the lake. As someone who has traveled throughout southern Thailand by bike, I would put this 'sunrise' lake tour in the top 5 among unforgettable...

Thale Noi Lake is a nature reserve in which there are many types of birds and beautiful lotus flowers. In this month there are few of these flowers and it is recommended to visit it after the month of March, as the view is very beautiful and a sea of red lotus flowers is formed. One of the most beautiful bridges (Ekachai Bridge) crosses the lake. A boat tour can be taken. It costs 550 baht. The Lake is considered one of the most beautiful areas in Thailand. I love this place and have visited it a lot, as well as the Red Lotus Lake (Han Kumphawapi Lake) in Udon Thani, which is very beautiful too, as well as Hong Han Lake in...
