This place is unusual and has some nice photo opportunities. But it seems very fake, almost like an amusement Park. Hotels have popped up everywhere around the pond. I'm sure it was more beautiful before but mass tourism ruins places... apart from some photo opportunities it's not really worth while travlling too. I certainly wouldn't go back for a 2nd visit. Lack of restaraunts that all seem to offer the same limited menu and most close by 20:00. Unfortunately I found the majority of people working here the most unfriendly in the whole of Thailand. Very rude and unwelcoming, just see the mass of day tourists as a cash cow.

Walking in this land is like being lost in an ancient wonderland with red lanterns hanging high along the roads and beautiful boats decorated like historical movies on the romantic river. Moreover, the rows of cherry blossoms are blooming and the green tea hills, looming are simple cottages, all of which bring us a sense of peace and desire to return here many more times.

The most beautiful spot I have encountered in all of Thailand is Ban rak thai. The architecture is amazing and the food spots are a bit costly but tasty. We went around tasting tea in the village and also wine. It was a beautiful experience. Almost everyone spoke mandarin and thai. And they had some rare items to buy as well. Highly recommended
