Mai Thon Island — Attraction in Phuket Province

Maiton Island is an idyllic and secluded island located just a short boat ride away from Phuket. I recently visited the island and I must say it was one of the highlights of my trip to Thailand.

Disappointing with that high price. There re only 2 tour operators and not allow any long tailed boats. Food is good but i was not there for food. White sand, yes but they allowed us to walk only for 500 m i think for that side where we can swim. Much garbage and old buildings left over (it used to be an exclusive Resort).

The other side is good with noone as it is allowed for walking and taking pictures only, no swim. Our tour is bad since they didnt privide us any life jackets...

the dishes still delicious such as deep fried chicken wings, coconut chicken soup....etc., they have children playground, worker are nice and patient. The only bad things is have mosquitos bite me although they have mosquito coils near every table.... I better bring the mosquito repellant with me...
