It is OK for bird watching if you are lucky to be here alone. Otherwise too much people and the birds are not to be seen close to the board walk.
There is a pond just next to the restaurant where you can see exciting birds as well.
They offer boat tours in to the wet land and this is HIGHLY recommended. You will see a lot of birds. But hard to take pictures as the birds are scared when you approach with the boat.
The boat could really be improved. Small wood boats and you are sitting on the bottom, OK, there is a plank 10 cm above the bottom.
But it is like 50 years ago I could sit on a floor in comfort.
And please, complete the maintenance of the board walk. You can walk 100 to 200 meters and the board walk is closed because of maintenance. Seems to have been closed for a very very...

The boardwalk is in a state of disrepair, so you can't walk to the pavilion. But I guess there's enough walk length to see the lotuses and also snap a few pictures.
The 60mins boat ride costs 500 baht per boat and takes you around the lake, up close with the lotus. I think it's worth it if you come as a group.
Other than that, nothing much to this place. But it's a beautiful place, happy to support the locals and the upkeep of this place. Hopefully they get enough funds to construct the rest of the boardwalk. Apparently there are some migratory birds here if you enjoy...
Read moreWe came to visit at the beginning of May, on Sunday morning around 9am, it was an overcast day, no sun 1 which made it perfect to walk on a wooden paths and climb the little tower near the end to have a 360 panoramic view of the scenery. Views are stunning, it was not crowded at all, so peaceful and quiet - you almost feel like meditating by just being there. There were blooming lotuses here and there. We saw few of the boats going for a ride but didn’t feel it was needed, almost 2hours of walking was plenty. The path is still being build though, so you can’t just come to the shore on the other end and have to walk back to where you entered. We saw lots of wildlife along the way. We came with kids and they had to run and enjoyed the place a great deal. We will...
