Wat Krathum Suea Pla — Attraction in Prawet Subdistrict

Suitable for casual visit to get a cosmetic observation on local Thai Buddhism. Please remember to dress properly when visiting any temples in Thailand. (not too revealing, no less then short sleeve, no shorts). The temple provides open-air parking space, family-friendly(not kids-proof okay?), and easy access to various mostly popular statues of legendary sacred Buddhism monks and even Chinese Buddhism shrine. Donation boxes are equally easy to find around the area, probably the main points. Monks are available for some other type of merit making, you just need to ask around. Since the temple is canal-side located (we call it Klong), another not to be missed is fish feeding piers (more like strong rafts) where you can donate some money in exchange for a few types of fish food and give them to the fishes (another type of merit making). We visited this location which is a fusion of the Thai and Chinese culture. There is a room with golden Buddhas covered in gold leaf. Our tour guide let us experience what it is like to pray and place a gold leaf on the Buddha as well. He also handed us a container with a lot of sticks containing individual numbers. You shake the container until one stick falls out and this stick will predict your future. It will either provide a good or bad fortune. It was interesting to experience. วันเสาร์ที่ 21 กันยายน พ.ศ.2567 เมื่อตอนบ่าย ผมก็ได้ไปที่วัดกระทุ่มเสือปลา ที่ประเวศ กรุงเทพมหานคร ก็คือ ที่อยู่ในถนนอ่อนนุช ก่อนถึงแยกอ่อนนุช ในถนนศรีนครินทร์ ผมก็ได้ไปที่วัดกระทุ่มเสือปลา เพื่อตั้งใจไปทำบุญและสำรวจวัด แต่ผมก็ได้ไปวัดกระทุ่มเสือปลา คือ ปกติ ผมก็เคยผ่านที่วัดกระทุ่มเสือปลา ประมาณ 5 ครั้ง แต่ผมก็ได้ไปวัดกระทุ่มเสือปลา เป็นครั้งแรกในชีวิตของผม เมื่อผมก็เข้าไปที่วัดกระทุ่มเสือปลา ปรากฏว่า ที่วัดกระทุ่มเสือปลา เป็นวัดที่มีผู้คนมาท่องเที่ยว มาไหว้พระ มาให้อาหารปลา และมาพักผ่อน คล้ายกับวัดแถวต่างจังหวัด แต่บรรยากาศที่วัดกระทุ่มเสือปลา ก็เหมือนเป็นสำนักสงฆ์ในแถวอีสานมากกว่า แต่สถานที่ที่วัดกระทุ่มเสือปลา ก็มีพระวิหาร เรือนไทย จำพวกพิพิธภัณฑ์ 80 ปาง และเรือนไทยที่เป็นพิพิธภัณฑ์หุ่นขี้ผึ้งไทย ที่ 3 พระสงฆ์ไทยที่มีชื่อเสียงในสมัยนั้น ก็คือ ผมก็ได้เข้าไปไหว้พระที่พระวิหาร วัดกระทุ่มเสือปลา แต่พระวิหาร วัดกระทุ่มเสือปลา เป็นพระวิหารที่อยู่ในสถาปัตยกรรม ที่คล้ายกับสมัยรัชกาลที่ 3 มากกว่า แต่ได้บูรณะปฏิสังขรณ์ เมื่อปี พ.ศ.2469 ตรงกับสมัยรัชกาลที่ 6 ส่วนพิพิธภัณฑ์พระพุทธรูป 80 ปาง หรือ พิพิธภัณฑ์ 80 ปาง เป็นพิพิธภัณฑ์ที่มีรวบรวมพระพุทธรูปปางต่างๆ ที่จัดเรียงรวบรวมในเรือนไทยเรือนเดียวกัน ผมเองก็ดี น่าคนรุ่นใหม่หรือคนรุ่นนี้ หันมาดีสนใจประวัติศาสตร์ วัฒนธรรม ไม่แน่ รัฐบาลหรือรัฐไหน รวม ทั้งรัฐไทย ก็กลับมาสนใจพิพิธภัณฑ์มากกว่าสนใจนโยบายหรือสนใจงบประมาณ ที่ผมกำลังศึกษาและติดตามอยู่ และพิพิธภัณฑ์เรือนไทย ที่เป็นพิพิธภัณฑ์หุ่นขี้ผึ้งไทย ทั้ง 3 รูป ทั้งหลวงพ่อ ที่อยู่ในวัดราชโยธา นึกชื่อออกว่า เป็นใคร หลวงพ่อที่เคยอยู่วัดกิ่งแก้ว ก็นึกไม่ออกว่า คือใคร และ หลวงพ่อโอกาสี วัดอาศรมบางมด กรุงเทพมหานคร และผมก็ชอบและประทับใจกับวัดนี้ อย่างวัดกระทุ่มเสือปลา แล้วสักวัน ก็ไปอีกครั้งครับ แต่ไม่บอกว่า...
