A truly unforgettable and magical experience! We arrived just before sunset to the grounds of Wat Khao Chong Pran temple, where every evening millions of bats emerge from the cave in a breathtaking natural display. It’s like watching a living ribbon twist and dance across the sky for over 30 minutes. We climbed the ~500 steps to the viewpoint, which offered a beautiful panorama and a perfect angle to watch the bats fly out. It’s a bit of a workout, but absolutely worth it! The atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming, with small food and drink stalls at the entrance and plenty of shade to relax before the show. Highly recommend arriving early to secure a good viewing spot and enjoy the golden hour for photos. Perfect for families, couples, or anyone who loves nature. Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind experience!

Constant stream of bats starting just before sunset. There is a 7-11 is near by but There is not much else around in terms of food or things to do. There is a nice temple on the hill that offers good views on clear days but the bats don’t fly past the viewpoint. They fly in the opposite direction. I enjoyed my time there.

Every day an hour before sunset, there is a feeding frenzy of bats. It lasts for about an hour. Currently, there is a market next to the temple at the same time. Parking is free. The temple also sells bags of Guano as fertilizer. Follow me on google maps and Facebook. Thanks!
